Reasons why I ❤️ Seasonal Yoga ❄️
1) Winter is a time of isolation, fear, grief: the emotions associated with imbalanced kidneys/bladder, the organs to work with this season. The best way to combat those feelings? Intentional movement!
Rebalancing their energy is invigorating 🙏🏼
2) Yoga combats SAD by Increasing circulation and generating heat which creates warmth from the inside out! Flowing with control stimulates energy levels and metabolism which counteracts Winter tiredness.
3) Community. Isolation is common in Winter, we say no to plans, we don't go out to enjoy the weather. Finding a yoga class is finding a community of like minded people who are on their own journey, you never know, you may just find a soul to travel the path with.
4) Winter is the most yin of all seasons, if you're new to yoga, this is the best season to start.
Seasonal Yoga has taught me alignment with breath as well as postures being held longer allow us to truly FEEL the pose rather than rushing through it 🙏🏼
