Plant the seed for the next generation.
John F. Kennedy came into office with a goal of improving the health of the nation as part of his New Frontier policy program. As President-elect, he wrote an article for Sports Illustrated, December 26, 1960, called “The Soft American” which warned that Americans were becoming unfit in a changing world where automation and increased leisure time replaced the benefits of exercise and hard work.

Help!

I am getting ready to endorse TotSquat (a potty for toddlers) and hope to find a style of speaking that anyone can understand

I kindly request any and all feedback before I commit to the final version

If I have a blind spot here, be civilized and encourage me to improve my thoughts

Here is my rough draft…

i chose an informal approach in what I want to say:

Hi, I'm Paula and I'm a big fan of TotSquat.

As the founder of Simple Medicine and an osteopathic physician and surgeon
With 40 years of hands on experience in rural emergency medicine

I know trauma and I can tell you that p**p is a big deal.

We know that early childhood trauma can impact our life-long quality of health

And we know that something as simple as squatting gives both immediate joy and also the long term joy of a healthier more limber pelvic floor

Pooping under pressure may punish us for years to come

Pooping well rewards us with a grin and a smile

What I love about TotSquat is that it was born out of curiosity.

What is your answer to the curious problem of p**p?

Dead aka Deprived of life. John Demakas (1946-2023) is dead. A great physician and a man I treasure, he was an icon in the Spokane medical community. His primary passion was the betterment of others and he achieved a record 50 years sharing his extraordinary skill and compassion. Serving fully until his death, he was a life giving font and an icon of what a doctor could be. As the most trusted go to authority in neurosurgery, he bridged the state of the art high tech gizmos with the humble gift of human touch. Our heart goes out to his family and friends. Memory eternal.

What we are learning about COVID is that it strikes the metabolically vulnerable: Here are important clues:waist over 40 in (men), high blood pressure (DBP >80), High sugar (FBS>90), chronic stealth viruses (EBV), cardiovascular is impaired (heavy metals), kidney function is poor, dental infection (loss of a tooth), lymphatic stagnation ( edema, tight skin across dorsal foot, loss of hair in lower legs). PLEASE Inspect inspect the skin and look for clues (age spots). Touch the feet and legs (stiff). The majority of us are at risk esp if you have sugar cravings or drink one soda a day. One soda a day links with metabolic syndrome.

Our Story

Simple Medicine is a practical school founded by Dr. Paula Strait, Osteopathic physician and surgeon, previously a family physician at Gardiner Family Medicine in Gardiner, Maine.

After 25 years of practicing rural emergency medicine, Dr. Paula is returning to her roots and the wisdom of the body. Playful integration of ancient faith with modern neurobiological mechanism and 21st century medicine.

Whole-health, drug-free, non-invasive mind-body technologies for improving imbalances that affect people’s thinking, behavior, and movement.

Dr. Paula has joined Embarque Yoga Studio and Wellness Spa in the heart of Indianapolis to bring mind-body medicine to the 4th year women in medicine as they imagine stepping into the life of their dreams and having a bigger impact on their communities.
