Please meet Dr. Coyman, a valued member of our medical team
Dr. Coyman grew up in Washington State and earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology from California State University. She went on to complete pharmacy school at USC in Los Angeles before attending medical school at the Kansas City School of Bioscience in Missouri. She completed her residency at Michigan State University and later pursued a geriatric fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona, where she specialized in neurocognitive disorders.
Dr. Coyman began her career in Phoenix, serving as Medical Director for several skilled nursing, long-term care, memory care, and hospice programs. She later relocated to Denver, Colorado, continuing his work in geriatric and dementia care while no longer needing to manage her own business. She also practiced rural medicine in Colorado while paying off her student loans.
Six years ago, Dr. Coyman moved to Walla Walla to become the Medical Director for the VA Geriatric and Palliative Care Clinic. For the past two years, she has had the pleasure of providing medical care to the residents of Washington Odd Fellows Home.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Coyman has a passion for animal rescue and has saved a wide variety of animals over the past 20 years—including horses, goats, donkeys, llamas, dogs, and cats. She is also a volunteer member of the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation.
We are honored to have Dr. Coyman as part of our care team and grateful for the expertise, compassion, and leadership he brings to our community.
