February 10th marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year. It is the year of the Wooden Dragon. On the 15th day of the Lunar New Year (the last of many days of celebration), the lanterns come out. This will be on Feb 24, marking the departure of Winter and beginning of the Spring season.
