The Spring Equinox is the season of renewal in Chinese medicine.
It’s associated with the Wood Element—growth, movement, and the energy of planting new seeds (both literally and metaphorically). If you’ve been feeling the urge to shift, this is your body aligning with the season.

Here are a few simple ways to support that energy:

Letting go ceremony — Write down what feels heavy or stagnant and release it. Tear it up, burn it safely, or simply acknowledge and let it go.

Setting intentions— What do you want to grow this season? Keep it simple and clear, like planting seeds with direction.

Clean your space— Open windows, declutter, and refresh your environment—this helps your Qi move more freely.

Plant something— Get your hands in the dirt, even if it’s just a small herb—connect with the energy of new life.

Watch the sunrise— Tune into the natural rhythm of the season—morning light supports the Liver and helps things move.

You don’t need to do all of it. Just start somewhere. What are you planting this season? 🌸

Spring is neck and shoulders season. Why? Because it’s also the windiest season! The wind outside can cause your neck and shoulder muscles to stiffen up and cause a literal pain in the neck. Stress can also increase tension in your shoulders and cause headaches, irritability, and affect the whole back side of the body.

We treat a lot of stiff necks in the clinic. Cupping and gua sha are great at pulling out the wind and relieving stiff muscles.

Quick tips for a stiff neck: heat is your friend! Use a heating pad or take a hot epsom salt bath. You can also stop by the clinic to pick up some of the fantastic topical pain relief products we have on hand. And be sure to keep a scarf on when it's windy out to prevent neck pain!

No need to lose a few days to a stiff neck and jammed up shoulders! We’ve got you covered.

Call us at 509-520-7993 for an appointment today! Returning patients can use the link in bio to schedule online.

I’m sorry if your appointment today had to be rescheduled. I’m home sick. 😪

I’m doing everything I can at home to rest and be better by Monday — herbs, pear loquat syrup, moxa, and press tacks (kitty approved).

There have been a few cold viruses going around lately, so if you need some immune support tips, comment here or DM me! It’ll give me something to do while I’m away from the office!

Allergy season is here… and I’m already feeling it. 🤧 I get really bad springtime allergies, so if you’re already sneezing, you’re not alone.

In Chinese medicine, seasonal allergies are often connected to Lung Qi deficiency. The Lungs help govern the respiratory system and our “Wei Qi” (defensive Qi). When Lung Qi is a little weak, we’re more vulnerable to wind and environmental triggers like pollen — hello sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and sinus pressure.

Acupuncture supports your body’s natural defenses and helps regulate the immune response. When we treat consistently during allergy season, symptoms are often less intense over time. Starting early really does make a difference.

We also love Marco Pharma’s Allernest tincture as a gentle, natural support for allergy symptoms. It pairs wonderfully with acupuncture care — grab a bottle next time you’re in the office!

If spring is hitting you hard already, this is your sign to get on the schedule. Give us a call at 509-520-7993 to schedule an appointment!

Feeling drained? In Chinese medicine, Stomach-36 is known for building Qi (your vital energy) and strengthening overall vitality. Located just below the knee, this point supports digestion, helps your body better transform nutrients into usable energy, and boosts stamina when you’re feeling run down.

It’s a go-to for:
• Low energy + fatigue
• Weak immunity
• Burnout
• Recovery after illness
• General vitality + longevity

When we strengthen the root of your energy (your digestive system), everything else has more to draw from. More steadiness. More resilience. More fuel for your life.

Ready to recharge from the inside out? Let’s build your energy the sustainable way. Call us at 509-520-7993 to schedule today!

Join us for our first vocal toning class!

Our very own Corrie first discovered the power of vocal toning after she had a brain injury that left her nervous system in distress. Vocal toning not only helped to relieve the symptoms that she was experiencing, but it helped get her out of fight-or-flight mode and release trauma from her body. Now she wants to share this powerful tool with other women who could benefit from the strength of their own voice! Come join us to Make Some Noise!

We're hoping this will be the first of many workshops to come! Space is limited to 10 women, so be sure to call 509-520-7993 to reserve your spot today!

Meal prep Monday: It’s soup season! I made a delicious butternut squash soup this weekend. Our Spleen qi loves foods that are naturally sweet. And the warming spices in the soup really help to wake up our digestion. When our Spleen qi is functioning optimally then we have adequate qi and blood in our system.

Some signs that your Spleen qi might need a little support are:

-No appetite in the morning
-Gas and bloating, especially after meals
-Loose stools
-Constipation
-Frontal headaches
-Difficulty shutting off your mind at bedtime
-Light or irregular menstrual cycles
-Easy bruising
-Frequent nosebleeds

If you want to nourish your Spleen using whole foods, give us a call at 509-520-7993 for a consultation.
