It’s World Bee Day!
and here’s your friendly reminder that bees don’t just make honey - they make life happen.

Over 75% of the world’s flowering plants need pollinators. That includes a third of the food we eat - fruits, veggies, nuts, even the hay that feeds cows.
No bees = no food. No food = … well, you get it.

Bees keep ecosystems healthy, crops growing, and wildflowers blooming. And they do it all while minding their business and asking for nothing in return.

This World Bee Day, I encourage you to plant something for the bees. Skip the pesticides.
The bees are doing their part - let’s do ours.

📢Your input is needed:

This year, my daughter Bella is participating in the Small Garden Project through 4-H. It's a quick project, lasting a little over 3 months.

She was given a cute grow bag with several goodies in it. My favorite was the mixed seed packet where she had to separate the seeds. She can also join the Berlin Seeds children's garden contest, too.

So far we have sent in her soil sample, divided her seeds, and planted her tomatoes. (Guess where she gets her tomato starts from?😉).

When I w**d out weak baby tomato plants or snap a stem accidentally, Bella finds it in heart to save them. 🥴😍 She's collected several over the past months and they are all in the ground now.

This is where she needs your help. Part of her project is to communicate to the community about it. If she posts here, would any of you be willing to comment on her posts and/or ask her questions? We would be very appreciative.

Hey, hey fellow gardeners. I'm still selling plants! ☺️ This may be the last week of my sales and I'm in the mood to make some deals.

Thanks to all involved with the spring planting of the pollinator planters in downtown Bennettsville this morning.

I absolutely love this project. I'm honored to be a part of it and am looking forward to seeing the plants grow over the next several months. 🌱💚🌼🐝
