Family Ties provides free therapy and advocacy services to child and adult victims of sexual assault, domestic or family violence, and other family crisis issues. The agency was founded as a Private Non-Profit Organization on February 28, 2007. Our agency serves Waller County, Austin County, and North West Harris County. Today, the Waller County Commissioners Court approved a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month in Waller County.

During the presentation, the Court acknowledged the vital work of community partners who are committed to preventing child abuse and supporting children and families when it occurs.

Family Ties is grateful to stand alongside dedicated partners like CASA, Child Protective Services, and the Waller County Welfare Board in this important mission.

A special thank you to Waller County for their continued support and commitment to providing crucial victim services to children and their families.

We invite our community to join us in recognizing April as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month and to stand together in protecting our children.

We want to extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who supported our Tour de RACHA – Ride Against Child Abuse Fundraiser this past Saturday. Because of YOU, it was an incredible success!

From our dedicated volunteers and staff, to our amazing riders and generous sponsors, it truly took a village to make this event happen and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

Together, we raised $17,280 to support our mission of providing no-cost services to children and families who have experienced trauma and abuse in our community.

Tour de RACHA is this Saturday, to raise awareness and funds to help protect children in our community. As our riders travel through the area, we kindly ask our community for patience and support on the roads while they complete their 24, 48, or 62-mile routes.
