A Letter From The President
Janet Lemelle's Ending & Beginning
December 30, 2025
There are endings and beginnings, and beginnings and endings. Such is the case with this year as we approach the end of 2025 is the case with my tenure as President of the Board of Directors of WTL - The Way, Truth and Life Outreach. At this crossroad, I embrace the changes of this ending and beginning.
After over 21 years at the helm of this organization, effective January 1, 2026 I have chosen to retire out of the role as President. This is not a decision that was made lightly nor hasty. After much prayer, professional counsel, and with Board approval, I felt peace and assurance that this was the time to enter into the next phase of my life and career.
From before the inception of this ministry, it was my life's mission and passion to be a voice and a champion for the unborn, to encourage moms and dads through pregnancy, to comfort and counsel moms following the loss of their baby, to nurture and build strong families, to educate the pregnant and parenting, and to undergird and fund this endeavor through community engagement. And through your prayers, service and donations, you have been the wind beneath my wings, helping me to carry out the mission of changing a life, and saving a life, one life at a time. For this I am truly and eternally grateful.
Although I am stepping down from the presidency, I plan to remain involved and engaged. I ask that you do the same to ensure a smooth transition, and to continue to support in all the ways that you currently do, the great work God has commissioned through the Waller Pregnancy Care Center and Family Way Empowerment.
My heart's desire is to foster as smooth of a transition as possible. I plan to continue providing maternal-child healthcare support and advising the Board of Directors, on an "as needed" basis, through the transition.
It was always God's work in progress, and I was extremely blessed to co-labor with Him and with you to accomplish all that we did under my leadership. The mission of WTL will continue to be directed by God. I ask for your continued support as new leadership steps into place.
It is my pleasure to announce that Lauren Dyal, WTL's Board of Director Secretary, has agreed to serve as Interim President. I am confident that Lauren, who is already a demonstrated leader in our community, will effectively carry forward the vision and mission of WTL. Please join me in welcoming Lauren to her new position.
Thank you for your support over the years. Please continue to be a part of the WTL Team, as we advocate for life through your prayers and commitments to this ministry.
I wish you and your family a healthy, happy and prosperous new year.
Sincerely,
Janet Y. Lemelle
Outgoing President
==========
I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins
and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.
