Lynn M. LaValley, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2003. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. Lynn’s clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders including: articulation, phonology, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, and augmentative and alternative communication. She has worked with a diverse population of children and adults within the clinical and residential settings, as well private and public schools. Lynn has a great deal of experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, Angelmans’ Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Lynn is a member of a special interest group which focuses on Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and is PROMPT trained. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and from the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Since opening Therapy for Language and Communication in September, 2013, Lynn has been awarded Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Speech Pathology, as well as 2014 Best of Wallingford Awards for Speech Pathologist. Lynn has become a guest blogger for Advance for Speech-Language Pathologists, and will soon be providing consultation services for evaluations at Yale University’s Child Study Center.
Maureen Lagasse, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 1994. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Pathology from Ithaca College and a Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University. Maureen has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Hamden Public School, Independent Day School and New Haven Public School. She has many years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of disorders of articulation, phonology, language, pragmatics, voice, and traumatic brain injury. She is PROMPT trained and holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Connecticut Department of Public Education as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Kerryann Scirocco, M.S., CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2018. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Iona College in 2016 and a Master of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Molloy College in 2018. Kerryann’s particular interest and clinical experience includes providing speech therapy to young adults and geriatrics with speech-language, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders. She has experience in the evaluation and treatment of aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, voice disorders, and dysphagia. She has worked with the adult population in outpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility settings. In addition to her rehabilitative work, she is driven to advance the field of speech-language pathology through research. Kerryann is a co-investigator of an interprofessional research study, which examines the effect of drama therapy on aphasic adults by exploring psychological recovery through performance. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Lisa Phung, MA CCC-SLP, has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2007. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2014. Lisa has worked with the pediatric population in public and private schools and clinics and the adult population in day habilitation and skilled nursing facilities. Her experiences include assessment and treatment of children with mild to severe speech and language disorders such as phonological, articulation, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, receptive and expressive language, pragmatics, and executive functioning using verbal speech, signs, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and Functional Communication Training. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Health, the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Sarah A. Obremski, M.S. CCC-SLP, began working in the field of speech-language pathology in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College. She has worked with a diverse population of children primarily in the Birth to Three setting. Sarah’s clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of mild to severe speech and language disorders as well as parent and family counseling. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy,Traumatic Brain Injury, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech, as well as a wide variety of phonological, articulation, pragmatic, and receptive and expressive language disorders. Sarah holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Carol Ann Coté has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for more than twenty years. She has worked with children of all ages with varying abilities. Carol Ann has worked in schools, CT Birth to Three agencies including an Autism Specific Program and private practice. She has extensive experience with articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorders, childhood dysarthria, developmental verbal dyspraxia (childhood apraxia), Down and other syndromes, hearing impaired, language delay and disorder, lisps, oral motor disorder, speech motor disorder, stuttering/fluency disorder, and tongue thrust. Carol Ann is driven by your child’s progress. She wants everyone to be a competent communicator!

Licensed in the state of Connecticut from the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Department of Public Education.
Missy Barra, M.S., CCC-SLP, joined TLC in July of 2018. Prior to joining TLC, she spent twenty years providing speech and language services to diverse populations of preschool to high school aged students in the Meriden, New Haven, and North Haven public school systems. Missy’s extensive clinical experience and training includes providing speech therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, speech sound disorders, phonological disorders, language impairment, pragmatic language impairment, multiple disabilities, and hearing impairment. Missy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University. Missy is the Co-Chair of the Connecticut Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Early Childhood Committee. She holds licenses from the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is PROMPT trained.
Amanda DiTomaso, M.S., CCC-SLP has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since January, 2015. She received a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Ithaca College in 2013, and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology with Teacher Certification from Ithaca College in 2014. Amanda has primarily worked with the pediatric population in the elementary public school setting. She is experienced evaluating and treating children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, and receptive and expressive language impairments. Amanda’s experiences also include working with children with complex medical conditions such as Spina Bifida, Down’s Syndrome, seizure disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and Emanuel Syndrome. Amanda is especially passionate about working with children who use augmentative and alternative forms of communication in the form of speech-generating devices. She holds a license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Connecticut Department of Public Education, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Carrie Stratton graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders in May 1998. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology in May 1996 from Southern Connecticut State University. She has over 20 years experience working with the pediatric population in a private special education setting and in private practice. Carrie’s experience includes working with children with hearing impairment, neurological disorders, rare/complex disorders and autism spectrum disorder. Her interests and expertise are in the areas of AAC, motor speech disorders, language processing and language organization. She also has experience with writing social stories, social skill development and the Social Thinking Curriculum. Carrie lives in Wallingford with her husband, daughter and son. In her free time, she enjoys binge watching a good TV show, watching hockey, reading home and garden magazines, being at the beach (or in the sun) and spending time with her family.
