The 12-year-old from Walnut Cove has been fighting bone cancer since last May with aggressive chemo and a below-the-knee amputation. 🎗️

With his dad and twin sister Racheal by his side Brandon has remained resilient and inspiring to us all.

His mother passed away years ago and his dad, Richard, is leading this family and cancer journey alone. 💛

I am excited to announce that Brandon's B.A.C.C. is going to be transitioning from a personal cause to a Non-Profit Public Charity with 501c3 (Tax Exemption Status).

As such, we have to have a Board of Directors. I may already have enough people to satisfy the requirement for the number of unrelated board members. But...

I would love to add some additional Directors who have experience being on a Board, particularly on a Non-Profit Board, but For-Profit Board experience would still be extremely helpful.

Without going into too much detail here, our organization will be providing various forms of assistance to families that have a child with a Cancer diagnosis. If you have experience serving on a Board of Directors and would like to help us with our cause, please reach out to me and we can discuss it further.

Please consider buying a shirt or three... 😁 But in all seriousness... regardless of whether or not you buy a shirt, do me a favor and go like the Backwoods Bandits NC page. They are a great local group of folks that get local youths outside and involved in outdoor activities and also give back to the community in several ways, including raising funds for local needs. They deserve a follow 😉.

What an amazing group of people!! Thank you to everyone! I am still shocked and amazed! They raised over $4400 for us. We still have a long way to go to recover from everything. But with this and the school fundraiser, March will be the first time we will not end up going negative $1200 or worse since November. I am absolutely blown away by the love and support shown! I will never be able to say it with enough emphasis or sincerity to do justice to the way I feel. But Thank You!!! Thank You from all three of us (Richard, Brandon, and Racheal), from the bottom of our hearts!!! I'll post more pictures when I can find them.

Update from his mom. 🙏🏼

URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED!!!!!!

Update that I REALLY did not want to make. Casons oncology doctor reached out to the number #1 pediatric oncologist who lives in Toronto Canada. With the chemo not working on the 1st round that's very very rare. There's only been 6 cases in North America with Cason being #7. There's been 3 cases that survived and 3 cases that didn't. If this round of chemo doesn't work then Cason only has a 50% chance of survival. In 30 days they will retest his bone marrow and the results will give us a answer. After the 30 days and depending on his results he will more then likely need a bone marrow transplant.

PLEASE PLEASE PRAY!!!! Lord please don't take my baby away!!! We need every prayer we can get. Copy , paste and share!!!!

I sincerely apologize for taking so long to post this. The last few weeks have been kind of crazy. I just wanted to say how moved we were and are and how much we appreciate what Southeastern Stokes Middle School - Official of Stokes County Schools did for us about a week and a half ago on 2/23/24. They did a Staff vs Student Fundraising Basketball Game that raised a whopping $1757!!! It was a huge step forward for us. It came at a time when we desperately needed it! It feels impossible to put into words how much the students and staff at Southeastern Stokes Middle School mean to us!

As a reminder, the fun begins tomorrow at Noon. The Bidding will stop at 4:00 PM and the event should be over by 5:00 PM. I will be trying to Livestream from Facebook on Brandons BACC for the entire time. I may have to take some breaks, but if I have someone who can sit with the computer or phone, I will probably leave it showing the room while I step away.

I believe some things completely heal with time. I also believe some things may get easier with time, but never completely heal. Please pray for Noah's family and friends, that they may find some measure of peace and comfort. He looks like a beautiful young man.
