Cold Therapy “Cryotherapy” is an age-old modality for the treatment of pain and inflammation. Cold air therapy is being widely used in Europe, Russia, and other parts of the world in areas of peak performance training, recovery from sports related injury and fatigue, and certain medical conditions associated with pain and inflammatory symptoms. The HOC products are the most revolutionary advancement in cold therapy technology, generating extremely cold temperatures. Exposure for a very short duration of dry air can result in short and long term cessation of pain, decrease inflammation, assist with soft tissue recovery and improve general wellness without shocking the body’s core temperature by prolonged exposure. Don’t buy their products!!!! When I go to houses full of imposter “eco/green” products I wanna tell them, all the things which has inspired this post. (As it's hard to be like, "Hey that stuff is toxic."

Greenwashing is when certain brands falsely claim to be a "natural" alternative for your home. This particular brand is one of the biggest offenders. They’ve tricked me before with the clever marketing, earthy scents, and innocent looking bottle that screams eco-friendly.

👵 Did you know that Mrs Meyers was NOT founded by a sweet little old lady named Mrs. Meyers? Nope! The company was founded by a woman named Monica Nassif, a corporate marketing consultant and executive founder of the Caldrea Company -- She named the brand after her own mother, who raised 9 children on a farm in Iowa. Monica understood the power of a good "storyline" for selling cleaning products and has succeeded in duping many over the years.

➡️ Mrs Meyers brand is actually owned by SC Johnson 🤯 Yep! They were acquired back in 2009 by SC Johnson, the manufacturer of the following toxic products:⚠️Raid, ⚠️Glade Plug-Ins, ⚠️Scrubbing Bubbles, ⚠️Off! bug repellent, and ⚠️Drano. The company continues to test their products on animals.

➡️ Let's take a minute and look at the packaging of Mrs Meyers. It looks so homemade, innocent, a reminiscent of our beloved toxin-free Dr Bronners (this is no coincidence!). Don't be fooled.

Dangerous Chemicals in Mrs Meyers Clean Day Products:
❌ Benzisothiazolinone
❌ PEG-2 Cocomonium Chloride
❌ Methylisothiazoline (linked to nerve damage by the NIH)
❌ Phenoxyethanol
❌ Sodium Caprylyl Sulfonate and
❌ Sodium methyl-2 lauryl sulfate (can create cancer-causing nitrosamines and cause acute aquatic toxicity)
❌ Fragrance - undisclosed concoctions of chemicals and most likely glycol ethers, as with many SC Johnson products)

Next time you see the pretty and colorful Mrs Meyers display, you may want to reconsider.
