AUTHENTICITY
Continue to be your authentic self, without fearing the societal pressure to be someone else.
If there is a place you feel the need to fit in, that place is your own “skin”, your own self.
And if you need help and support to do so, just reach out!
MEDITATION is…
a daily encounter with, and embracement of, who we are, as we are, and yes, with some work to do!
GRIEVING
When we lose some one close to us, the sense of loss is immeasurable, and so is the love we continue to feel.
Grieving, besides being a natural response to the painful experience of losing some one we love, is also a deep expression of that same love.
Geri wing therefore, is a form of love, it is love expressed through tears, love expressed by the unbelievable pain of separation, love arising in all of its power to let us feel how much we love.
Allow yourself to feel the grief, if you are experiencing one right now.
Allow yourself to be with the pain and the love.
Allow yourself space to be.
Allow yourself time to heal.
Allow yourself love, and tears.
Allow yourself to be human and to live the hard experience of separation.
And yes, allow yourself to also smile and the joy of having been close to the one you now miss.
IN MEMORIAM
In honor of my dear father-in-law who took his last breaths on his beloved Earth a few days ago, and who will remain forever in my heart and that of our family.
“A cloud never dies” - a beautiful, insightful and enlightening quote of the great Thich Nhat Hanh who my father-in-law admired and respected greatly, a quote that indeed represents his perspective in life: the reality of impermanence and interconnection.
And in his honor are also the humble morning altars I and my wife crated to help us cope and celebrate his life, love and legacy.

the art of being in the moment, as the moment is!
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Creating morning altars for the last seven days as part of the challenge luanched and supported by has been truly a magnificently revealing experience of mindful practice, attention, presence, creativity, inspiration, and meaning.
A practice that I will definitely continue beyond these last seven days, and that I encourage all of you to undertake because I am sure that I will impact you in ways now unknown to you, but full of moving and healing power.
Meditation heals.
Meditation is indeed a foe of art: the ART of BEING.
Art heals.
Art is the natural healing expression of our innermost human experience.

Durning the moments of full presence in the composition of this morning altar, timelessness pervaded, calmness abided, love expanded, consciousness created.
This was day 4 of my parteciparono in the and the creativity, inspiration, and joy continues to expand.

ART is PRESENCE
When creating art, one of the most essential elements is PRESENCE - being fully present during the creative process!
One cannot be in any other state but that of complete presence during the act of creativity, and this powerful practice of being present is what transforms a idea, am intuition, a moment of inspiration, into ART!
Being present therefore, is the essential conduit to creativity and art.
Being present IS a form of art in it of itself!
ART is presence
PRESENCE is art
My third day of the practice continue to reveal amazing experiences of presence, connection, creativity, inspiration, art, and beauty!

ART THERAPY
Art therapy as been very well documented and researched has been an excellent form of psychotherapy process!
And even outside the therapeutic space of healing and exploration, art therapy is very helpful, effective, and healing for a variety of emotional, psychological and spiritual challenges.
I can attest to the efficacy of art therapy based on my personal (and professional) experience.
Case in point: I am really glad to have statutes the challenge promoted by who has really inspired me to start making altars, and on my second day of practice I can tell you that the am very motivated and engaged in this practice, intend on continuing beyond the 7 days, promote it and supported as a truly effective therapeutic and healing practice.
Today I introduced it to my three-years old son and he loves it!

YES to LIFE
It is so uplifting to let yourself be more open to spontaneity, inspiration, and creativity!
I recently responded to an invitation to participate in a seven-day challenge to build a morning altar initiated by who consistently, over years, has produced some of the most beautiful, creative, and inspirational natural altars that have really touched me and now inspired me to follow along.

finding happiness within,
within each breath,
within each touch,
within each gaze,
within each though,
within each movement,
within each word,
within each moment of life,
here and now!
PSYCHOTHERAPY is…
Helping you hold your own hand as the process of healing takes place.
Holding our own hand during difficulties, crisis, and trauma is not only possible but also one of the most important steps we can take in our healing journey, AND, a powerful demonstration of our resilience, capacity to care for ourselves, heal, and recover.
Holding your own hand is also a powerful way of saying to yourself “I LOVE YOU”
And loving oneself is the strongest form of healing one can experience!
MEDITATION is…
Letting the mind rest in its natural state of pure, unconditioned, open awareness: the mind of. a Buddha.
ACCEPTANCE and CHANGE
are two sides of the same “coin”, the “coin” of healing!
There cannot be true healing and true change if first we do not embrace full radical acceptance - acceptance at all levels of human experience: mind, body, spirit, emotion, cognition.
Acceptance must happen before we can make any significant, sustainable, and sincere change in our lives.
The absence of radical acceptance will eventually lead to repetition and perpetuation of suffering, therefore embracing acceptance is the most important first step to take in order to heal and flourish!
HEALTH
Good heath begins with Mental Health!
LEAVING TO STAY
Although difficult , learning to say with our suffering, with our difficult emotions, challenging mental and physical states, and not trying to avoid it, hide it, suppress it or run away from it, is the powerful and necessary path towed healing, inner peace, and emotional freedom.
TRAUMA of WAR
These powerful images are to remind us of the horrific impact of war on so many innocent human lives.
These powerful images are a symbol of how the cruelty of war scars the lives of so many with unbearable pain and trauma.
These powerful images tell the reality of unnecessary violence, destruction, and suffering that human beings continue to perpetuate on other human beings out of utter ignorance about the deep trauma, incivility and inhumane consequences of war.
Let us not become desensitized
Let us not become blind and deaf
Let us not remain powerless
This war, and all wars must end!

In times of difficulties, when life feels really hard, difficult, and challenging, trust in your inner resources and your RESILIENCE!

HEALING
Healing begins with acceptance.
Acceptance is the doorway into reality: the only place where healing can take place.

Deep sadness continues to move through my mind, heart, and body at the passing of my very first Buddhist teacher, Thay.
One other words but his own are the best way to honor one of the greatest teachers of our time, one of the most wise, compassionate, and awakened beings to have ever lived amongst us.
“This body is not me,
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
I have never died”.
Another light of hope, love, and compassion, leaves the world a little brighter.
LETTING GO
We must let go in order to receive
We must let go in order to ease our burden
We must let go I order to change
We must let go in order to grow
We must let go in order to heal
We must let go in order to gain
We must let go of what no longer serves us in order to to experience the freedom of living fully!
TRIGGER
Being aware of our emotional triggers is a very effective way to know what is actually taking place within ourselves, and how to respond to what we realize is happening within.
This is again a case of ‘knowledge is power’, the power to know and to respond appropriately and avoid unnecessary problems and suffering.

Asking for Help Although difficult for many of us, asking for help is one of the most important aspects of healing . There are many reasons why we resist, hesitate, and find it difficult to ask and receive help. And yet, help is needed by anyone of us, as no one cannot really make it on his/her own - we all need help sometime! . Additionally, if we look into our experiences we see that we all like to help, and be helpful to some in need - helping us a very natural@aspect of being human! . We must be aware of how we relate and use the last I order to make supportive and helpful changes in our present and for our future. The past is meant to be remembered and referenced for reflection.
