I can’t believe it was three years ago that I completed my doctorate degree from . It was incredibly challenging balancing work and school, but it has been one of the most rewarding things I have done.

Today marks the 10th year of opening my own practice. I started working at my mother’s acupuncture office in 2002, and I cannot believe all the incredible changes that have happened every decade. I am thankful for all the support and love from everybody, and I look forward to what the next decade will bring.

Forever Grateful,
Eisaku Tokuyama, DAIM, L.Ac

In Western Medicine the body is seen as a machine, you try to fix a broken part or take it out. In Chinese Medicine, the body is seen as a garden. If the leaves are wilting or turning brown, you examine the condition of the soil, see if the plant is getting enough water & sun or if the roots are being impinged upon. You don’t just paint the leaves green! ~ From the classic book on Chinese Medicine, "Between Heaven and Earth".

Take a look! Acupuncture needle (0.16mm) compared with insulin needle (0.3mm/30G) and standard syringe needle (0.6mm/23G) (human hair knot for scale)

I use filiform needles ranging from 0.1mm to 0.3mm. The guage of the needle that I use depends on what I am treating, where I am treating, combined with patient's preference.

LOL, I just had a conversation about this with a client, NM, talking about her experience giving birth in the US NM had a that friend gave birth in Japan - she had meals that were similar to the examples here. When NM gave birth, she forced her husband to get food from WholeFoods because she was sooo disappointed with the food at the hospital here.

To all the new moms, nutrition is key to recovery after delivery. Please take care!

If there’s one thing that seems to have a horrible reputation no matter where you go, it’s hospital food; bland, colorless, vomit-inducing meals that make the reason you’re there seem bearable in comparison. A woman

Jon from Large Metal Prints stopped by and brought a "sample" of my photograph. This so-called "sample" is perfection. High contrast, super glossy, and just beautiful. I love it! I've heard about their incredible work all these years from my clients, but I am completely hooked! This is exactly what I was looking for and Jon has motivated me to start printing my work! More updates to come. Thanks, Jon!!!
