I stepped out of the office today to do different kind of patient care.
Spent the day in Sacramento advocating alongside colleagues with Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association - ACCMA for policies that strengthen patient safety, access to care, and the standards our patients depend on. Honored to be able to share our experiences to help shape policy.

I love that the program includes all levels - from exercise in the chair to bands to heavy lifting. And love the tidbits of wisdom from Dr. Novitsky during the sessions.

Big news for women in mid-life!
The FDA has announced it will remove the longstanding "black box" warning on many hormone-based therapies used to treat peri-menopause and menopause symptoms. It's a shift toward evidence-based, individualized care.
And excited to see Dr. Rachel Rubin on this episode, who I learned from during my Menopause Certification training, and who was instrumental in leading this change.

In an interview with CBS News, FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary explains what went into the decision to drop the most serious warnings on hormone therapy for menopause.
