I heard birds singing, cawing, squawking, chirping and cooing this morning. I also heard cars driving by, kids yelling, gardeners cleaning yards, sirens and all sorts of machines making loud sounds. When I hear nature sounds and then people sounds I think to myself how lucky we are that we can live side by side. So if the world seems noisy to you today, stop for a moment and listen and realize that we are all a part of the whole and that there is beauty when we take a moment to listen for it. The trucks will stop and the gardeners will finish and the sounds will diminish and hopefully you will be lucky to hear a bird still singing. If there isn't a bird is singing then enjoy the silence...or the sound of your breath breathing with the world.

Take a moment wherever you are right now to stop, take a deep breath, hold that breath for just a moment and then breathe it out slowly through your mouth. Notice how your body automatically begins to relax with just one truly deep breath. Now let yourself take a few more deep breaths since the first one went so well. Enjoy being yourself in this moment, breathing.
