Come experience the magic of beautifully decorated Christmas trees while supporting an incredible cause. All proceeds will stay local and benefit the new CCUH Cancer Radiation Center.

Another great turnout for our most recent Caregiver Class, which featured Laura Strader, Program Manager for the Alzheimer's Association. She shared about effective communication and how to understand and respond to dementia-related behavior.

We are thankful for both Laura and Leisha Hickenbottom, Caregiver Education Coordinator for the Area Agency on Aging, who shared at an earlier class about caregiver stress and burnout. Both speakers shared many great tips for caregivers as well as a variety of resources to help caregivers. The attendees at both classes felt empowered and informed and were grateful to know about all of the support available to them as caregivers.

What a touching program to honor our veterans! Thank you to Stacie, Sarah, and Denise from Traditions Health and Eric from Cornerstone Caregiving for partnering with us to recognize the veterans who call Walnut Hills home. Each veteran was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a veteran's pin to thank them for their service, and each veteran's spouse/widow was given a red carnation. Sarah shared her beautiful voice and led those in attendance in several patriotic songs, and everyone enjoyed delicious cupcakes to end the celebration.

As we continue through our season of gratitude, it’s a time to reflect on our blessings — and to lend a helping hand to those who need it most. At Walnut Hills, our caring community is coming together for the Season of Giving Food Drive, sponsored by our amazing CNA Mentors! 🙌

Going on now through the 21st, we’re collecting donations for the Love Center Food Pantry in Millersburg, OH. As we gather with loved ones to give thanks, let’s share that spirit by helping our neighbors put food on their tables.

📍 Collection boxes are located at:
-Nursing Home entrance
-Assisted Living entrance
-The Meadows Mail House
-The Commons Mail House

🛒 Most needed items include:
-Canned goods (vegetables, fruits, meats)
-Dry goods (pasta, rice, beans)
-Proteins (peanut butter, tuna, chicken)
-Personal care items (toiletries, diapers)
-Stove Top stuffing & pie fillings

Every can, every box, every act of kindness counts. Let’s fill those boxes and show what makes Walnut Hills such a special, caring community! 💛

Last week, leaders from across all of our Greencroft Communities campuses gathered for our annual Fall Leadership Meeting — a time to connect, learn, and grow together. It was a truly inspiring and insightful event for our leadership teams and for the bright future of our campuses!

Guest speaker Jeremy and our CEO Hugh Davis shared powerful messages about leading with purpose, taking pride in our work, and inspiring those around us every day. Their words reminded us that leadership isn’t just about direction — it’s about heart, service, and community. 💚

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success — we’re excited to carry this momentum forward as we continue our mission of caring and serving across all Greencroft campuses.

Last week, our Walnut Hills campus got into the spirit of Halloween — and some of our team members really went all out with their creative costumes! From spooky to silly, everyone brought great energy and plenty of smiles to our residents and guests. 🧙♀️🦸♂️🎩

It was a fun-filled day celebrating laughter, community, and a little Halloween magic. 💜

If so, consider participating in our upcoming FREE Caregiver Class.

The class will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Troyer House on the Walnut Hills campus.

Our guest speaker for the class will be Laura Strader, Program Manager for the Alzheimer's Association. She will address effective communication and understanding and responding to dementia-related behavior.

There is no cost to participants, dinner will be provided, and registration is required.

Today is the LAST DAY to register for the class.

Our very own Tiffini helped spread some Halloween cheer by putting together 150 treat cups for the Sugarcreek, Dover, and Strasburg Senior Centers’ Halloween parties today! 🧡🖤
