Capoeira Angola comes to KIN + Kailukuan School of Indigenous Science
In these times of great resistance, we return to the wisdom of our bodies. Capoeira Angola was born from the struggle of enslaved Africans in Brazil—an art of survival disguised as dance, carried forward through rhythm, song, and movement. It is resistance in motion, memory in the body, and community made visible.
Led by Angoleiros do Sertão – Treinel Onire, this class invites us to remember with our whole being. We move to the drum, sing in call-and-response, and rediscover our own rhythms. Together, we build focus, neuroplasticity, confidence, and strength—but more than that, we build brotherhood, community, and joy.
🕔 Kids Class: 5:00 PM
🕡 Adults Class: 6:30 PM
📍 Thursday, Aug 28 – KIN Unified Institute of Sound & Kailukuan
Capoeira Angola is not only an art—it’s medicine, memory, and movement for the times we live in.
