We offer the Medical Healthcare Interpreter Training program, a comprehensive 60-hour live, online course that meets the training requirements of both the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI), the two organizations in the U.S. This course offers:
• A variety of class times, including weekday and weekend options
• An interactive and fun learning environment, with an experienced instructor who is a certified healthcare interpreter
• A modern course curriculum, including a comprehensive course textbook and medical terminology book
• A core terminology e-book, with carefully chosen words and terms students will use daily on the job

Our Story

The InterpreterEd.com 40-hour training program introduces bicultural and bilingual individuals to a description of the limited English proficient (LEP) population, its distribution in the U.S., including barriers, challenges, and benefits of providing services to this group. The course covers: The importance of providing medical interpreter services Regulatory mandates to establish language access services Roles of the medical interpreter Modes of interpretation used in a healthcare setting Managing the flow of communication Memory development Cultural competency Medical terminology Professional interpreter standards of practice, legislation, and regulation Upon completion of this course, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills to be a qualified medical interpreter and the necessary knowledge to take and pass the medical interpreter certification exam. Certificate of completion: Upon completion of the course and passing the final assessment, students will receive a certificate of completion.
