The Walpole Medical Reserve Corps (Walpole MRC) is a community-based volunteer program that prepares for and may respond to emergencies to support the public health infrastructure of the Town of Walpole .

Snow will overspread most of the region after midnight and continue into Sunday morning. While the bulk of the accumulating snow will come to an end by early afternoon across western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut...there are indications that snow may linger into the afternoon across portions of eastern Massachusetts. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected across much of the region with the higher amounts near and south of the Massachusetts turnpike. Motorists traveling Sunday morning should be prepared for snow covered roads and slippery travel along with reduced visibility

Preliminary indications are for the potential for 1-2" of snow south of I-90 with perhaps a swath of 3-4" towards the south coast. North of I-90 a dusting to 1" is expected. These amounts may need to be adjusted as we evaluate future guidance.

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern, and western Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

A winter storm is expected to impact southern New England Tuesday into Tuesday night with interior snow and mixed rain and snow near the coast. The most significant accumulation, with potential for greater than 6 inches, is expected to be north of the Mass Pike and west of I-495. However, the storm track is still uncertain, so further changes are possible.
