Happy EMS Week to our incredible team at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center Ambulance! 🚑
This week, we pause to recognize the everyday heroes who answer the call—no matter the hour, the weather, or the circumstances. Your dedication to the people of Huerfano County goes far beyond emergency response; you bring calm in moments of chaos, compassion in times of fear, and skilled care when it matters most.
Because of you, our community feels safer, stronger, and deeply cared for. You are often the very first hand to hold, the first reassuring voice, and the bridge to healing when every second counts. That kind of commitment cannot be taught—it comes from the heart, and it shows in everything you do.
Thank you for your courage, your expertise, and your unwavering service. We are proud to celebrate you this week and grateful for the difference you make every single day.

Oh, what a night!
We are incredibly proud to share that three outstanding nurses — Kendra Paz, Lynda Strickland, and Kayla Kephart — were honored at the Colorado Nurses Foundation Night in Excellence Awards last night in Denver, representing SPRHC/VCLC with excellence and heart.

A special congratulations to VCLC’s Kayla Kephart and Lynda Strickland, who were selected as distinguished award winners in their categories. With nearly 400 nominations and 78 luminaries recognized statewide, their achievement is truly remarkable. Thank you for representing Huerfano County and the nursing profession with such dedication, compassion, and professionalism. We are beyond proud! 💫

🎓 Graduation Weekend Safety Reminder 🎓
As we celebrate the Class of 2026, the team at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center Emergency Department wishes our graduates and families a safe and memorable weekend.
Graduation is a time for celebration—but also a time to be mindful. During busy weekends like this, emergency departments often see preventable injuries. Simple, thoughtful choices can make all the difference:
• Plan ahead for safe transportation
• Wear your seatbelt
• Look out for one another
• Make responsible decisions that protect your future

Our hope is that every celebration ends with memories worth keeping. Celebrate proud. Celebrate responsibly. Celebrate safely.

Congratulations, Class of 2026—and thank you for helping keep yourself and our community safe.
