The Walsh Hospital District hosted its first Summer Camp event on June 17th, 2025. The theme was “Under the Sea” and the event was planned by the Activity Department and Residents of the Walsh Healthcare Center and Maplewood Homes. Residents volunteered their time preparing craft projects, and snacks for the Summer Camp children. A story was shared, games were played, and everyone left with their very own rainbow fish. We would like to thank everyone for attending this event and look forward to seeing you back in July at our Beach Party.

Walsh Healthcare Center hosts Cinco De Mayo Fundraiser
Lindsey Bishop, Certified Activity Director, organized and planned the Cinco De Mayo Fundraiser. Several employees donated supplies, food items and their time to make this event a great success. The dinner included smothered burritos with green chili, rice, beans, chips and salsa. Julie Arana, RN, DON arranged for live entertainment featuring Makayla Marez, Mariachi Singer. Makayla serenaded the guests that attended and then went to each residents’ room to share a personal performance. The funds raised are to be used to help purchase a domestic water heater for the nursing home. Thank you to all who came out and supported our fundraiser.
