Dear Member:
This is to notify you that there are 2 Owner’s and 2 Trainer’s (Owner/Trainer) seats up for re-election this year.
To be considered for a seat you must meet our By-Law requirements:
⦿ He/She is not a member, officer, or director of rival associations of thoroughbred horsemen, and has no other relationship that involves a conflict of interest as defined in Article IV, Section 5.
No person shall be eligible for nomination or to serve as a Director unless all the following criteria has been achieved by the potential candidate:
⦿ He/She has been a member in good standing of the Association as defined in Article III
⦿ He/She is a member as defined in paragraph (A), on the date of his nomination, and remains eligible as such, at all times thereafter.
⦿ He/She has started one or more horses a minimum of six (6) times while a member in the Association in the one year immediately preceding the date of his nomination.
Members have been grandfathered in for 2014. So, the above bullet would apply to 2013 and later
