Please join us in welcoming Dr. John W. Burress and Nurse Practitioner Dena Stetson to BBJI!

Dr. Burress will serve as Chief of our new OccMed Center, bringing deep expertise in occupational medicine and disability management for both government and private organizations. He is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and HIMS AME, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents Guideline Writing Committee. He is also a past Chair of the Massachusetts Medical Society Public Health Committee and a former national Board Member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

We are excited to have this exceptional team leading the way.

Congratulations to our PA, Alyssa Bonanno, on an incredible Boston Marathon finish with a time of 3:45:42!

We also want to recognize the BBJI team members who supported runners along the course. Athletic trainers Cory, Tyler, and Zach, along with PA Tessa Lilley, volunteered in medical tents to keep participants safe and cared for.

And a special shout-out to Tessa and MAs Sarah and Tre, who biked the marathon route the night before.

Congratulations to all the athletes and volunteers who made it such a memorable day.

At BBJI, we are committed to sustainability. While reducing our environmental impact in healthcare can be challenging, we are intentional about finding meaningful ways to make a difference.

Through our partnership with Partners for World Health, we donate lightly used DME and expired medical supplies that would otherwise go to waste. This helps extend the life of valuable resources while supporting communities in need.

This April, we are also collecting recyclable electronics in our offices, including headphones, chargers, and more, to ensure they are disposed of responsibly.

Did you know that in 2022, an estimated 62 million tons of e-waste were generated worldwide? We are proud to play a small part in helping reduce that number.

Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you are racing for a personal best or walking to support BBJI and the Research Foundation, there is a place for everyone at the starting line.
