On Wednesday, Jan 24th, it was my 2 year anniversary of opening Feather & Seed on Moody St in Waltham, MA 🎉

I’ve been running all over town all week prepping for the office expansion. Today, I’m trying to be intentional about resting and recharging (as much as I can while solo parenting while my hubby is away) before my busy week. I still have lots to buy and figure out but it’s slowly coming together. I’m excited to show you all how it starts to take shape!

🥚Chicken Egg as Medicine 🥚

Eggs are highly nutritious in TCM. They augment blood, yin and ying and are wonderful to moisture dry conditions.

These gorgeous farm eggs came from our friends’ farm out in Colrain, MA. They are so beautiful and taste amazing!

My first collection of F&S Herbal Hot Packs is now available! 🌿🌼

I’ve been working on this project for a while and I’m so happy they are all ready and labeled! I had to change seamstresses half way through the project which really slowed things down but that’s life.

They are stuffed with whole wheat, flax seed, dried rose, chamomile, lavender, lemongrass and lemonbalm. The smells so lovely and has a soothing effect on the nervous system.

They can be heated in a microwave or conventional oven. The instructions are on the back.

I’ve written this list down for many, many patients over the years so I finally decided to make a post so that it’s easier to share🍯🥒🥣

Probiotics are super important for our overall health. Our gut houses most of our microbiome which plays a huge roll in the health of digestive and immune system, our mental health and even the health of our skin.

Try to incorporate as many as you can of these into your regular diet. Probiotic diversity is important so having yogurt daily is not enough for most. And if you have to make antibiotics for any reason make sure to eat as many of these as possible for the following weeks to re-populate your system.

Working from home with my Mochi 🐈‍⬛

One of the fabrics (strawberry thief) didn’t work for the hot packs so I asked my seamstress make a cover for an old pillow I had. I love it 🥹🍓

The first herbal hot pack collection is launching mid July! Even during summer heating certain achy areas can be super beneficial to speed up healing ✨
