We are experiencing some issues with our phone service. Cincinnati Bell is aware of the problem and is working on it. Calls from cell phones are not getting through, but calls from landlines don't seem to be an issue.
In the meantime, we are able to accept refills requests from the RefillRx app, which is available for free in the app store.
We hope to have this resolved shortly and apologize for the inconvenience.

Community pharmacies, like Walton Pharmacy, need your help today!
The Big Beautiful Bill (BBB) contains pieces pertaining to pharmacy. Unfortunately, the pieces that were pharmacy protective (fair reimbursements) have been stripped from the bill. The piece that is left behind, Mandatory NADAC Reporting, is harmful to pharmacies without the protective pieces in place.

NADAC stands for National Average Drug Acquisition Cost. It represents the average price that retail pharmacies pay to acquire prescription and over-the-counter drugs. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) currently conducts monthly surveys of retail pharmacies to estimate the acquisition cost of outpatient drugs for retail community pharmacies, and this data is used to calculate the NADAC.

Many plans as well as Medicaid reimburse us based on NADAC pricing. The Mandatory NADAC Reporting in the BBB would expand the NADAC survey to include mail-order and specialty pharmacies. That would mean that the NADAC would now include acquisition costs from mail-order pharmacies, which will lower the NADAC substantially. Small community pharmacies will be reimbursed for a drug based on averages that include the acquisition costs of mail-order pharmacies. The purchasing power of mail-order pharmacies, (with annual revenues in the billions) is understandably much different than that of a local community pharmacy. This has the potential to be devastating to community pharmacies.

By contacting Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell, by phone or via messages on their websites.
Subject: Please remove the mandatory NADAC reporting from the Big Beautiful Bill.
Message: Without the pharmacy reimbursement piece, the mandatory NADAC reporting would have devastating effects on community pharmacies.
** Adding a personal message here would be impactful. Ex: the importance of having access to community pharmacies, or you love Walton Pharmacy and don’t want to go anywhere else.. etc. :)
