Neurodiversity In-Home Play Therapy & Psychosis

Dotti is an EMDR Play Therapist who specializes in neurodivergent folks of all ages and provides parents with concrete parenting techniques that improve family function and relationships. Parents gain insight into the harmful practices that exacerbate children's mental health wellness and are taught connected approaches that help children feel safe and supported. In addition, Dotti is affirming in specialized addiction modalities and its treatment, along with utilizing the most updated science that supports those that are struggling with their substance use and/or maintaining sobriety, including family consultation. Dotti's mission is to help parents feel confident in their parenting through education, as well as becoming neurodiversity & trauma- informed. Dotti promotes and enriches the lives of children where they feel inspired to reach their personal goals that feel good. Dotti fosters helping the whole child and has advanced specialties in education support to ensure children have a safe and supported education experience. She also provides neuroeducation consultation for special education services, as well as helps parents learn appropriate modifications and accommodations to better support their children, including providing insight into how the education system affects their children’s mental health. More than that, Dotti is a strong advocate for children that are caught up in the Treatment Industrial Complex that commoditizes and capitalizes on the mental health struggles of children that creates the school-to-prison pipeline. Dotti teaches children (and adults) how to safely navigate the criminal justice system that was created to “rehabilitate” them.
