“Do you do X-rays before the 1st treatment?”
In most cases a thorough orthopedic exam in the office is sufficient for establishing the best route for treatment, no X-rays needed!
Now, if you already have images done (or you get them done for your own piece of mind) as your chiropractor I absolutely want all the info on your health history, so of course I’ll read your radiology reports/ look at your images. (And this video is just a joke, I do have knowledge in diagnostic imaging and can read lol)
BUT regardless if you have X-rays, MRIs, etc, OR NOT, we are going to go through ALL your health history and do an extensive exam when you are a new patient or have a new injury. Good news is… typically the findings in an exam match the radiology reports! So, what I’m saying is, a New Patient Exam SHOULD provide enough information to continue with care. If you, as a patient, do not progress with a treatment plan in the time frame appropriate for your complaint/ injury/ age/ condition/ ect, then we may discuss imaging for more answers. Imaging is a tool, but not the only tool.
