Good morning all, Stephen Karejwa here. We have achieved a real milestone this month. From 2024 through YTD 2025, we have certified 1,000 new students in Heartsaver CPR.

This comes on the heels of opening new avenues of instruction with the Plainview-Old Bethpage and the Port Washington school districts. Programs are also currently running in Bellmore-Merrick, Baldwin and Locust Valley school districts, and multiple libraries.

None of this would be possible without the smart move from our Certified Training Center (CTC) in PA, to our new CTC affiliation in Smithtown NY. This action guarantees every student gets their CPR cards in days, not months or at all as with our former destructive CTC.

For those of you that had suffered through that period of trying to get your cards for personal or business reasons, we can assure you that will never happen again. We hope that you will give us another chance to prove ourselves to you and look forward to working with you to achieve your training needs.

As always you can contact Bonnie or I anytime by email at: LCP-COURSE@OPTONLINE.NET

We look forward to hearing from you and are ready to help you achieve all your goals.

Just finished a great CPR program at Great Neck Library with Bonnie Karejwa Bonbon Bk and I last night. We did four Monday evenings from 630-830pm and we taught the American Heart Association Family & Friends course for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR. Everyone who came were members of the community, and the director of the program, Cindy Wolfe, was very happy with the results.

It’s National CPR and AED Awareness Week! in News from Around the AHA AHA Community Manager

Posted on June 4, 2024 at 4:25 PM

Dear AHA Instructor Community:

National CPR and AED Awareness Week is underway! During this special week, we spotlight how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED.

The AHA has set a goal of doubling the survival of cardiac arrest by 2030.
We know that in order to save more lives from the 350,000 cardiac arrests that occur outside of the hospital every year, we must increase the number of people who respond to cardiac arrest by calling 911, delivering high-quality CPR and getting and using an AED as soon as it is available.

To help us raise awareness about CPR and AED Awareness and work toward our goal, we would love your help with building a Nation of Lifesavers. The goal of the AHA’s Nation of Lifesavers initiative is to turn bystanders into lifesavers.

In addition to encouraging your families, friends and community members to take a CPR course, below are additional ways that you can encourage them to learn CPR and join the Nation of Lifesavers: Share Our New PSA: Our “Be the Next Lifesaver” PSA inspires bystanders to become lifesavers by learning CPR and being prepared to respond in a medical emergency. View the PSA and share the link. Encourage Others to Immerse Themselves in a New Virtual Reality (VR) App: Through the AHA’s new VR app, individuals can learn how to perform Hands-Only CPR and use an AED, and then put their skills to the test in three real-life scenarios. Recruit Advocates: Encourage your families, friends and communities to join You’re the Cure, the AHA’s grassroots network where they can show their support for public policies that can save lives from cardiac arrest. Together with the Smart Heart Sports Coalition, the AHA is working to pass laws in all 50 states that will ensure schools, school athletic facilities and school events have a cardiac emergency response plan and require training in CPR and AED for school athletic coaches. Share AHA’s Hands-Only CPR Instructional Video: Individuals can learn the two steps of Hands-Only CPR with this instructional video Visit the Nation of Lifesavers website to learn more. We are truly grateful for all that our AHA Instructors do to help empower more people to act confidently and swiftly during a cardiac emergency. Everyone, everywhere can be prepared and empowered to become a vital link in the chain of survival and provide CPR. Together we can save lives.
