November is Bereaved Siblings Month, a time to recognize those who have lost a sibling and the unique pain and sorrow that comes along with it. Siblings are often referred to as the forgotten grievers, this month we will remember them and show support, acknowledgment and love.

It’s That Time of Year Again!

The Christmas Jubilee Angel Trees are popping up all over Wapakoneta!

Choose a gift tag with the age and gender of a child or student, purchase a gift, and return it wrapped to any Christmas Jubilee Angel Tree location.

All gifts will be collected and distributed to children and students in the Wapakoneta City School District, ensuring every child feels the joy of Christmas morning.

FIRST GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP MEETING IS TONIGHT!

When? 6pm!
Where? 1101 Lincoln Ave in Wapak! (Escape Wapak building).

We have just a few "rules" , or general things to know when attending grief group! Here they are:

Basically -
1.) Confidentiality is important. Don't share names or other people's private details outside of the group. This feels like common sense to me.

2.) Don't be judgmental.

3.) Speak from your own experience, avoid telling others how to act or handle things.

4.) You NEVER have to share or speak. In fact, you're more than welcome to come and be totally silent the entire time, as long as you listen and are respectful. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

5.) BOUNDARIES. Keep your hands to yourself, and don't be weird. Again...common sense.

6.) Grief has no timeline...we will NOT judge where anyone is on their grief journey.

7.) The group itself is not religious and we do not allow or condone pushing or advocating for any specific religious or spiritual beliefs...but please feel free to share how your personal religious beliefs have impacted you and your grief journey - just as long as you respect everyone else's beliefs or lack thereof.

8.) RESPECT OUR MEETING SPACE. Our grief meetings take place in MY workplace! My boss has generously allowed us to use a specific room for this - and we ALL will treat it with respect and clean up after ourselves. (Inside Escape Wapak - go through the front doors of 1101 Lincoln Ave, I'll direct you to our meeting room!)

9.) DON'T BE A DICK! Sorry for the language (no I'm not), but I have a 0 tolerance policy for racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia/etc. You don't get a second chance with this rule. You break it? You're out - for good.

Just be nice, it's not that hard.

People tend to believe that grief shrinks over time. What really happens is that we grow around our grief.

Grief uncovers the truth inside 🌫️
Who walks with you, who runs to hide πŸ’”
The daisies bloom in morning’s glow 🌼
Reminding me of what I know πŸŒ…

Some will vanish when nights grow long πŸŒ™
Some will silence your grieving song 🎢
But few will stay, through storm and pain 🌧️
Holding your hand in endless rain πŸ™

Grief is a mirror, showing clear 🌠
The hearts that truly keep you near ❀️
It teaches lessons, sharp yet true ✨
Who really loves, and stands with you 🌸

In sorrow’s weight, I’ve come to see,
Who my people are, who stay with me πŸ’ž
