my dads patient still travels from Vermont to see me for their 6 month cleanings after they moved there in the 1990s (our farthest traveling patient and super honored to continue dads passion for his patients)
in 6 month cleaning on Monday
noted crack in the amalgam and saw an opening underneath the distal on lower right first molar, took a PA and bitewing and noted deep decay.
was able to adjust my schedule and get it restored while patient was here instead of making another trip
removed filling and decay and put a new composite filling in with 3M filtek supreme ultra

Patient in with some chewing discomfort on lower right second molar. the lingual cusp was flexing and had cracked below the gum line
Crown needed
core build up
Symptoms had subsided in the temporary crown
STML zirconia crown placed with RelyX cement

asymptomatic 12 year old from yesterday with deep decay near nerve on lower left second molar
filled with composite
decay removal, base, clean and boost, surpass, seamfree, 3m supreme filtek supreme ultra dentin and body

new patient in to see me as they were recently told this molar needed to be removed. I felt this could be avoided as the patient had an alive nerve, decent bone, and was symptom free other than the sharp edge from the deep cavity.
filled the tooth with composite as opposed to a crown due to limited chewing force.
removed decay and 3M filtek supreme ultra filling material. Will bring patient back to remove the other broken root, and replace the crown on the premolar due to deep decay

new patient came in for a cleaning yesterday and the teeth were stained and heavily built up. All gone!
