Tougher crown on UL second molar, tooth #15.

New patient came in with a temp filling on tooth #15 and history of deep decay. Endodontist completed root canal, new core and prep, emax crown with variolink esthetic DC cement. Sorry no post-op clinical picture.

Hope this one lasts a long time!

Patient was referred to me by a retired colleague with a crown and post out on upper left second pre-molar, #13.

Not a lot of tooth structure remaining and patient wanted to keep the tooth for as long as possible before removing it and placing a dental implant.

Removed debris, no post but locked core-build up into canal, prepped and temporary crown. Temporary crown was in place for 10 months (!) since August 2024 as patient forgot about the tooth. Patient was in this week, reported no symptoms, so we removed the temporary, and inserted the final crown. STML zirconia crown inserted with RelyX luting. Sorry no post op clinical pics but we had a nice result and good shade match. Hope this tooth keeps on going!

Interestingly the decay on the lower left premolar hasnt grown much in 10 months but patient will be back to fill.

Our awesome patient was in for a cleaning today and I had to take picture of her teeth after her cleaning.

This is a great example of teeth and gums in their healthiest state, and a textbook natural smile! Keep up the great work!

Always enjoy a challenging save! Crown delivery from today

Patient was in for an exam and I noticed deep decay below the gum line and near the bone on tooth #18 (lower left second molar). The nerve tested alive and patient had no symptoms so we decided to replace the crown. Patient was in the temporary for 5 weeks and was symptom free so we proceeded to deliver the final crown.

Very challenging save on upper left second molar, tooth #15

New patient was referred to me by the root canal specialist to see if i could restore it after root canal, or if the tooth should be removed- root canal was started but it was questionable whether the decay was too far up the root to be saved, and if i would be able to get access back there with a drill bit.
Pt came in for a consult and I felt that I would be able to save it with a good prognosis

root canal completed by endodontist, core build up, prep, barreled in the distal furcation into a bevel, temporary crown was in for 6 weeks with durelon and patient was doing great, no bleeding and functioning fine. Inserted STML zirconia crown with RelyX luting. Favorable tissue response!
