Yesterday was Employee Appreciation Day, I want to say a very personal thank you to all the employees at Auburn Ridge Living Center.

Everyone knows how hard life can be and if you have to go to a job that is also hard it is just not worth it.The ladies and gentlemen at Auburn Ridge make going to work a place of mutual support and team work.

There is not a single one of you that I can't count on to step up. Of course we all have a bad day, it would be a false reality to assume it's always sunshine and roses, but I know that everyone supports each other even when things are rough. Those good days, though, they are far more frequent, amazing and the reason I receive so many compliments from residents, families, and even random people in public about our facility and staff!🙌🏼

The little gifts are not even close to how much you all are appreciated, but I hope you know that it is in mine and the owners hearts that our gratitude comes from.
THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE!!!đź’“

The Price is Right! Alora with Cornerstone Caregiving came in to do an activity with the residents today! We had 6 rounds of showing different items and having the residents predict what the sale price is for each item. The resident that guessed the closest price won that item and then got to play a Minute To Win It game to win an additional item!
Ann- had to roll 10 dice and get the same number
Lucy- had to stack a deck of cards from two-ace in order
Eunice- had to make a rainbow from different colored play dough
Jane- had to score 100 points from hitting different targets
Ruth- had to build a tower of legos from large to small pieces
Lorene- had to bounce a ball into the bucket 5 times
The final round was between two residents and they had to guess the cost of what the jumbo price was worth… our winner was Ann! She won a laundry basket, a 6 piece towel set, wall scent plugins, myers hand soap, and a flower decoration piece!
We are so thankful for Alora coming in with this fun activity and for including all the residents/contestants in winning a price at the end!

The residents have been busy lately with activities! They made chocolate chip cookies as a group to have as their dessert for dinner one evening. They played Ping Pong Bowling, each resident would roll ping pong balls down the table and get points by landing them in their target.
They made some beautiful artwork by painting flowers with q-tips. They are definitely ready for spring! They worked on their balancing skills by playing Giant Jenga. Today, they played Chuck the Duck; Lily had 2 teams and they practiced their throwing skills by throwing the rubber ducks into targets and got points based on what target was hit!
Way to keep them busy and active Lily!
And we want to thank Alora Gentges with Cornerstone Caregiving for her little care package that she gave to the day staff, we love when she comes out to visit with residents and staff!

On Saturday, Gerbes East came in with roses donated to all the residents! Each resident received a beautiful red rose to keep in their room or to put in a vase around the facility!
The residents had special visitors yesterday, a group of young ladies from Helias Catholic came to visit, paint nails, and worked on puzzles with the residents!
And today, we celebrated Mardi Gras while playing bingo. The residents got to enjoy a king cake while wearing colorful beads and masks! Bonnie found/won the baby!
So much fun within the last couple of days with activities and our visitors!

Valentine’s Mixer!
We celebrated Valentine’s Day a day early by having a party through lunch. The residents started the party by taking an adorable picture with our Valentine’s puppy, then got to munch on a bunch of snacks! Lily had them play hot potato with our puppy dog, did some Valentine’s trivia, and practiced their shots of love by aiming at Cupid! Dotty informed all in attendance the true meaning and where Valentine’s Day came to be as well! And we found out our winner from the Valentine’s Gingerbread houses: Marilyn!
They got to enjoy a delicious lunch from Jess of assorted pinwheels, fruit salad, potato salad, and a red velvet cupcake!
Our staff; Tina, Adi, Mykala, Jess, and Lily did an amazing job putting this wonderful party together!
We partied today so you can come out and enjoy your Valentine’s Day with your loved ones tomorrow!

Happy belated Birthday to our Lorene! She was out on her actual birthday in January, but we still wanted to celebrate her day! She was joined today by her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law for lunch of her choosing. She picked Country Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes w/ White Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, and a Pumpkin Pie! Delicious!
Donna Johnson came in to give Jess a day off so we had a special cook cooking for a special day!
Wishing Lorene a very happy belated birthday!

Activity catchup! We’ve had so many birthdays to celebrate in the month of January, we haven’t stayed caught up on activities! The residents have been doing a lot of exercising; they’ve done balloon volleyball, chair exercises, chair yoga, and practicing their kicking skills.
They had a bowling competition in the living room and they painted wine glass bottles!
And to start the new month, Lily had them decorate a gingerbread house with a valentine’s theme! We are also doing a little competition to see whose house is voted as the favorite!
Come out to visit with your loved ones and see all the beautiful Valentine’s decorations Tina, Lily, and Adi put up to enjoy!

Auburn Ridge Living Center

We are a licensed Residential Care Facility. We are not a nursing home. Our Residential Care Facility holds only 18 residents which allows us to provide a very personal and intimate home-like setting. It also allows us to get to know each and every one of our residents. We provide private living quarters, 49" television with dish network, 3 home cooked meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, 24 hour supervision, and assistance with basic activities. We also provide assistance with showers if needed. We administer medications and handle refilling prescriptions and provide transportation to and from doctors appointments. We have an activities program to keep our residents active, and we spend one on one time with our Residents to keep them company. We have an in house beauty salon if they choose to use. Our goal is to encourage our residents to be as independent as possible, yet keep them safe in doing so with the integrity they deserve. We encourage visitors to come often. Play cards, share a meal, or just sit and spend time with them. We hope to give the families of our Residents peace of mind that their loved one is well care for and in a healthy and safe environment. Please call Gina at 573-301-1616 if you would like a tour or just stop by anytime! We are located in Wardsville Missouri (1425 Ashbury Way, Wardsville, Missouri 65101)
