The residents (and staff) made little beaded plants to put in their rooms today. They each got strips of wire and got to choose from all kinds/colors of different beads to put in their pot. They were each one of a kind! The residents even admitted that this was a great workout for their fingers! Thank you to Mykala and Jess for finding such a fun and beneficial activity!

The residents got to enjoy a brunch lunch today! Jess made a Frittata, Fruit Salad, Hashbrown Casserole, with a homemade Cinnamon Roll for dessert! They got to enjoy some fresh garden tomatoes from Marvin Schulte as well. A few residents spent their cool afternoon by an indoor campfire while making a s’mores dessert! No better way to bring in some fall weather than with a camping activity with Lily!

Today the residents had an Auction Day for their Friday activity! They each received a paddle, $20 (fake😉), and 13 items to bid on. They each got a special yellow dollar that represented an automatic claim for that auction item, but if used, they would then be out for the rest of the auction. They definitely enjoyed some friendly competition with this activity and already requested to do another one soon! How fun!

Waterpark Day! After having to cancel a few times, we were finally able to have a great day to play in the water. The residents and staff enjoyed water guns, water balloons, and mini pools. Not sure who had more fun between the residents, staff, or Oliver! As you can see, not a single person left without getting a little wet!
Thank you to our wonderful staff for putting this all together to have a great day outside even with the heat!

The residents bonus Friday activity this week was one of their favorites, playing Bingo! Adi created a different version of bingo, they played LUNCH with each letter column being a different food category. They played multiple ways such as, postage stamp, 4 corners, X shape, a specific column, and the fun part was swapping cards so each resident would get a chance with a new one! We had 9 winners of normal Lunch Bingo, and our blackout winner (who was Bonnie)! Our favorite was seeing what our resident Mitch won as a prize, (thank you to our hair stylist Phyllis)! A big thank you to our day staff Tina, Adi, Jess, and Mykala for running this activity and making it very unique! The residents had a lot of fun with this activity!

The residents got a surprise today! They got to meet Tina’s puppy, Nala Ann. They absolutely love getting to see puppies and babies! The staff got a surprise visit from Julie Berhorst and her grandkids and they made delicious fruit drinks! And at each table in the dining room, they have an adorable little flower arrangement made by Julie Reinkemeyer. Thank you so much to Julie for thinking of us to decorate around the facility!

The residents started their week with painting with Lily. They did a pass it around painting style where they each painted a part then passed it on to the next person to paint a part. What a great way to be creative! They also watched Mary Poppins on a cloudy morning while enjoying some popcorn and lemonade. What a movie classic to watch!

Auburn Ridge Living Center

We are a licensed Residential Care Facility. We are not a nursing home. Our Residential Care Facility holds only 18 residents which allows us to provide a very personal and intimate home-like setting. It also allows us to get to know each and every one of our residents. We provide private living quarters, 49" television with dish network, 3 home cooked meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, 24 hour supervision, and assistance with basic activities. We also provide assistance with showers if needed. We administer medications and handle refilling prescriptions and provide transportation to and from doctors appointments. We have an activities program to keep our residents active, and we spend one on one time with our Residents to keep them company. We have an in house beauty salon if they choose to use. Our goal is to encourage our residents to be as independent as possible, yet keep them safe in doing so with the integrity they deserve. We encourage visitors to come often. Play cards, share a meal, or just sit and spend time with them. We hope to give the families of our Residents peace of mind that their loved one is well care for and in a healthy and safe environment. Please call Gina at 573-301-1616 if you would like a tour or just stop by anytime! We are located in Wardsville Missouri (1425 Ashbury Way, Wardsville, Missouri 65101)
