WOHL OPTICS - Contrary to popular belief, when it comes to eye care, those big optical chains you probably know are not giving you the best bang for your buck. In fact, they’re more expensive by a wide margin. After 25 years as a certified optician, Doug Wohl knows what you want and need in eyewear; you won't have to pay for fancy real estate at the mall. At Wohl Optics, we guarantee the best prices and quality to our Bucks County, PA neighbors.
Veteran owned and operated, Wohl Optics’ approach to your family vision care is compassionate and professional, uniting old fashioned care with modern technology to provide you with the very best vision and eye care. We know our patients by name and make certain that all prescription lenses are done correctly, your contact lenses fit properly and you experience your best vision. Price Guarantee - Our competitive pricing guarantees you will always pay the lowest price for your glasses or replacement lenses. We offer deeply discounted pricing on lenses, eyeglasses, contact lenses and sunglasses because we have no middlemen! With Wohl Optics, you get: 1. Optical Lens Lab on-site 2. Fast Turnaround 3. Your Bucks County, PA Neighbor Whose Service You Can Trust 5. Eyeglass Adjustments and Repairs 6. Quality Frames and Lenses that Fit Your Budget and Lifestyle When it comes to purchasing eyeglasses, your prescription is just the start. You need someone you trust who can recommend the type of lens that fits your visual needs, and perform the proper measurements; someone who can help you select a frame style that enhances your features, and fits your fashion sense. Finally, you want someone to provide individualized service and who will work with you until you are completely satisfied with your eyewear and the lens is fit properly for the best vision you can possibly have. Wohl Optics proudly provides a full range of optical services.
* Polarized, Transitions, and tinted sunglass lenses. * Specialized anti-glare, scratch-resistant, and mirror finishes. Family owned and operated since 1999, our goal is to provide excellent pricing & personalized service to meet your optical needs. We also provide lens cutting services to other doctors who need these professional services. Our on-site optical lens lab gives us the flexibility that an ordinary eye center cannot provide. We can offer a fast turnaround time without compromising the accuracy of your prescription. When you order glasses from a chain store provider, your eyeglasses can pass through a dozen or more hands before they return. Crafting Quality Lenses Since 1992 - It is our commitment to material selection, quality and customer service which has helped us to flourish in this highly competitive market for decades. At Wohl Optics, your glasses are custom crafted and fitted by the same optician who helped you choose your frame and lenses. No other optical center offers this degree of precision and personalized attention. If you have frames that need replacement lenses or repair, bring them in. If you are a distance, send them in; we can help you through mail order. If you have a prescription already, that's great; we are here to fill it for you. We always take precise measurements to determine the pupillary distance (PD), or distance between your pupils, and the ocular center (OC) height. The OC height is the center of the lens vertically from the bottom of the lens to the center of the pupil. An accurate PD measurement, in conjunction with an accurate OC height measurement, is needed to properly place the lenses in your frames so that the ocular center (the area that gives you the truest vision) is directly in front of your pupils. There's an emerging trend to use automated machines to take optical measurements. We've tested these machines and determined that they do not achieve the same accurate results as a highly skilled optician, who not only takes measurements, but also uses their professional experience to evaluate your fitting needs based on many parameters that a machine cannot discern, such as your posture. The human element should not be dismissed from the eyeglasses consultation process. Count on Wohl Optics to measure your eyes for the prescription eyeglass lenses that are right for you. Proper fit for your glasses is the final touch to ensuring better vision after your eye exam. Today, many eyeglass prescriptions are for bifocals or progressive lenses. Proper fitting with accurate lens alignment is the key to achieving the best vision from the eye doctor’s prescription. If you are new to bifocal or progressive lenses, you will find that they work for you right away and you won't have to "get used to them." WOHL OPTICS HISTORY Wohl Optics originally started business as a wholesale lens laboratory serving optometrists and opticians in the Philadelphia area. During this time, we grew the Optical Lab to a point where we could not only provide for the eye care professional, but also pass those savings on to the public as well.
