Bringing Mind-Body Practices to the Community: Dr. Charles Illingworth Teaches Qi Gong at Prevention Conference

On Thursday, June 5th, Dr. Charles Illingworth—faculty member, Won Institute Clinics Clinic supervisor, and proud alumnus of the Won Institute—led a Qi Gong session at the Problem Gambling and Gaming Prevention Conference, hosted by DBHIDS (Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities) at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia.

The conference gathered behavioral health professionals, educators, and advocates to address the growing need for prevention and support around problem gambling and gaming. Dr. Illingworth’s session provided participants with an opportunity to experience the restorative benefits of Qi Gong, a practice rooted in traditional East Asian medicine that promotes mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

🌀 In addition to his work at the Institute of Graduate Studies, Dr. Illingworth offers acupuncture and integrative care at his private practice, Grove Wellness Center, located in Lansdale, PA.
