It's these moments that fuel my passion for Manual Lymphatic Drainage!

Why would it help someone's blood work?
Well, the lymphatic system is a huge part of our body's natural cleansing. In the most simplistic terms I can use to describe it: it collects intracellular fluid, which is often cellular waste, filters it through lymph nodes to break it down, then rejoins the blood system to send waste through the liver for more processing, then to the bowels and bladder for excretion.
The less "gunk" in our bodies, the better our blood will be!

The liver works hard for us daily and has over 500 essential functions…but its main job is to sort, package, and filter the stuff that our lymphatic system picks up from the fluid that surrounds our cells.

Similar to how our bodies eliminate waste, cells p**p 💩(exocytosis), and expel their waste into the extracellular matrix. That’s where lymph, the clear fluid that flows through the system, is born.

Important Things To Know:

✨ The lymphoid tissue in our gut extracts the digestive fats from the food we eat and sends them off to our liver for processing. Our lymphatic system and liver are BFFs! 👯

✨About ~50% of the lymph that flows through the main duct of our body comes from our liver. This duct is a direct line for fluid to get back into our cardiovascular system. Once lymph has been filtered by our lymph nodes, it’s recycled back into the body as PLASMA; the liquid component of our blood.

The term “sluggish liver” gets tossed around a lot in the Health & Wellness space, but what does it actually mean?

Basically this. Physical roadblocks or physiological processes can impact our overall liver function, and slow down that pivotal filtration or detoxification process.

What the liver can’t package up for removal can end up right back in our bloodstream, and overtime (like LONG periods of time) this can *potentially* lead to illness and disease. “The Domino Effect” of dysfunction, if you will…

It’s important to understand how our lymphatics, liver, and gut work together to cleanse our body, and to prioritize taking care of them…but we should do so fearlessly.

Idk why YOUR liver is sluggish. I’m just here to share knowledge, demystify your body, and help you navigate the nuance, not give you advice. I’m here to mentor. I want you to make your own decisions for your health.
