Continuing to grow as a leader in veterinary medicine is just as important as advancing clinical skills.

I recently had the opportunity to attend continuing education courses focused on veterinary leadership alongside Dr. Hall and Lisa. The class was led by Dr. Ashley Randall (who happens to be our very own Dr. Harris’s mentee), courtesy of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and the Atlanta Humane Society, and it was an incredibly valuable experience.

These sessions reinforced the importance of strong communication, team development, and creating a supportive, efficient environment for both staff and patients.

Investing in leadership education allows us to better support our teams, improve patient care, and adapt to the evolving challenges within veterinary medicine. I’m grateful for the chance to learn, reflect, and bring new ideas back to the workplace.

Looking forward to putting these insights into action and continuing to grow alongside this profession.
