Today, we honor and celebrate the incredible individuals who have reached the milestone age of 100 years or more! 💯✨We are blessed to have Mrs. Isabelle who is our very own Centenarian at 102- and soon Mr. Penrose (October) and Mr. Mickey (November) will be joining her in the Centenarian Club here within The Phoenix at Lake Joy!

This week, our hearts are with the little warriors. 💛
In honor of Tackle Kids Cancer Day and our very own Blakely, we’re Going Gold to support all children bravely facing cancer or have rang the bell. 💪 Our residents created care packages filled with love and encouragement for our Pay It Forward project, along with handmade yellow we wore around the community today— a reminder that these kids are never alone. We’re proud to stand together across generations to share hope, raise awareness, and fight alongside them. Stay strong, little warriors — you’ve got a whole community behind you! 💛

Today, our hearts were full thanks to a special visit from Lilly with the Phoenix Equine Assisted Program! Residents enjoyed some unforgettable moments bonding with this gentle, loving horse and her handler, Barbara — and the joy was written all over their faces. There’s something truly magical about the connection between people and animals. Lilly brought not only smiles, but also comfort, calm, and a whole lot of love. Thank you to Lilly & Barbara for helping us create such meaningful moments for our residents. 🐎💫

🍑 As we prepare to close the chapter on summer (Can you believe next Monday is the first day of fall?!) and welcome the beauty of fall, our Pearl residents enjoyed a perfect day for a scenic drive yesterday. We couldn’t let the season slip away without one last cool sweet treat — a visit to Lane's for their delicious Peach Ice Cream- the perfect spot to celebrate our birthday girls, Martha & Mary. Today, our Ageless Travel journey landed in its final destination — the vibrant and colorful country of Mexico!
It’s been an absolutely amazing week of exploring cultures, tasting new flavors, and celebrating the joy of lifelong learning. We've laughed, learned, and most importantly — proved that you're never too old to travel and experience the world in new ways. 🌍❤️
To wrap things up today, residents:
🌯 Tasted Chicken Enchildas, Cilantro Lime Rice, Refried Beans, Tortilla Soup and Churro Bread Pudding
🎨 Crafted their own maracas
🌮 Dug into a festive Nacho Bar & Spin for a Prize activity sponsored by our friends with Family Hospice & Warner Robins Rehab, and
🍹 Enjoyed a lively Happy Hour celebration with festive music!

🍝 Ciao from Italy! 🍝
We’re more than halfway through Assisted Living Week, but the fun is far from over here at Lake Joy! Today’s adventure took us straight to Italy, where residents indulged in a taste of Tuscany with a delicious menu including:
🍗 Chicken Parmesan
🥖 Garlic Green Beans & Penne with Marinara
🥣 Hearty Minestrone Soup
🍰 And classic Tiramisu for dessert!
🎨 Residents got creative with a stained glass/mosaic craft,🎬 Relaxed with a screening of Under the Tuscan Sun,🍧 And cooled off with an Italian Ice Bar — generously sponsored by our friends at Enhabit Home Health! We would also like to extend our thanks to Chelsea with Georgia Hospice Partners who provided our associates with a delicious treat from Nothing Bundt Cakes!
It was a bellissimo day of flavor, film, and fun — we can’t wait to see where we’re headed next on our Ageless Travel journey! 🌍✈️

Another day, another destination on our Ageless Travel journey for Assisted Living Week here at Lake Joy — and today we landed in Greece, the beautiful homeland of two of our very own Pearl residents, Yai Yai & Mary! 💙

Residents enjoyed a flavorful journey through our taste buds with:
🍱 Teriyaki Glazed Salmon
🥢 Stir-Fried Vegetables, Jasmine Rice & Miso Soup
Activities included:
🧘‍♂️ Seated Tai Chi for relaxation and wellness
🖌️ Calligraphy fan-making for a creative touch
🎤 And of course — Karaoke! Because no trip to Japan is complete without it!
It was a day full of mindfulness, movement, and meaningful connection. Arigatou gozaimasu for joining us — we can't wait to see where tomorrow takes us next! 🌏✈️
