Meet The Team:

Dr. Orille:
Melissa Orille received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from Oakland University in 2006. Since 2013 she has been developing a subspecialty interest in operative and non-operative shoulder and knee rehabilitation. She provides care to trauma, acute and over use sports injuries, as well as nonoperative rehabilitation for various degenerative arthritis conditions. Dr. Orille has assisted in the development of treatment protocols with orthopedic surgeons which have been recognized nationally. Dr. Orille is also a Nationally Certified Pilates instructor and is certified to instruct on all Pilates apparatuses. Melissa enjoys instructing and incorporating Pilates principles into her rehab treatment plans to increase flexibility, stability, strength and endurance. She is also a former national and international professional competitive ballroom dancer and enjoys teaching a variety of partner dances to individuals of all ages, a skill set that compliments her clinical abilities. Emily Upshur, PT, DPT:
Emily received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Oakland University. Prior to that, she attended Rochester College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology in 2013. Emily has experience treating a wide variety of post-operative conditions, non-operative orthopedic conditions, balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, and sports injuries in young athletes. She enjoys integrating specific manual techniques with therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education to maximize patient outcomes. She is a dedicated evidence-based practitioner by continually supplementing her education through professional webinars, continuing education courses, and research. Emily is certified in RockTape FMT (Functional Movement Training) and CPR. Christopher Barnett, MHS, PT:
Christopher Barnett has been practicing for more than 30 years as a physical therapist. He obtained his B.S. in Physical Therapy from Oakland University, and his Master of Health Science in P.T. from Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis. He has been a long-standing member of the APTA (including Orthopaedic Section) dating back to 1988. Christopher has practiced exclusively in outpatient orthopedics with extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical conditions. He participates in ongoing continuing education courses. In addition, he enjoys fitness activities including bicycling, jogging and gym workouts. Chris’s enthusiasm and passion helps make the close-knit environment at Orthopaedic Team Rehab. Jessica Keown, PTA:
Jessica Keown graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2022. After receiving her license as a PTA she joined the full-time staff at Orthopaedic Team Rehabilitation in 2023. Prior to joining our team, Jessica worked as an Emergency Room Technician for eight years and maintains her license as an EMT. Jessica's outside interests include baseball, and especially the Detroit Tigers and physical fitness training. She is currently a Pilates Apprentice. Jackie Ciotti, Business Manager:
Over 30 years’ experience in the Medical Business Administration. Jackie has over 20 years’ experience with Revenue Cycle Management as well as Business Management. 23 years of which is related to Therapy. Jackie is a member of the APTA and MGMA.
