WEEKEND REGISTERED NURSE
Darling's Home Care is seeking an energetic and compassionate Weekend Registered Nurse to join our Home Health team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional nursing care directly to patients in their homes, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working flexible weekend hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide skilled nursing assessments and interventions in patients’ homes during weekend shifts
- Coordinate the total Plan of Care for the patient in the Home Care setting, monitor vital signs, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate patient conditions to inform care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication usage, and health maintenance strategies
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for complex cases working cooperatively with other Darling's Home Care disciplines, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and medical social services.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols
- Balance your clinical talent with compassion and focus while meeting the needs of multiple patients throughout your day.
SKILLS
- Valid RN license with current registration and licensure in the state of practice
- Critical care experience including ICU or hospital medicine strongly preferred
- Experience with home health procedures like catheterization, ostomy care, tube feeding, and ventilator management
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical records documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and physical examinations
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
