We are excited to welcome Angel Gressel, DNP, MS, PMHNP-BC to the team! Angel is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and will be accepting new clients in January 2026!

Learn more about Angel by reading her introduction below.

I’m Angel Gressel, DNP, MS, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to people of all ages. My aim is to create a welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout your treatment journey.

My educational journey has significantly shaped me as a clinician. I hold both a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gannon University. I also earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Capella University, which enhanced my understanding of therapeutic methods and human behavior. Later, I completed a Master of Science in Nursing at Wilkes University, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and earned board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I went on to complete my Doctor of Nursing Practice at Gannon University, further strengthening my commitment to advancing mental health practice and improving patient outcomes.

My professional background includes working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner within the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, in community outpatient clinics, and over 20 years of experience in community mental health and residential programs in various roles. These experiences enable me to provide a well-rounded, compassionate, and patient-centered approach in every encounter.

In my practice, I aim to combine holistic assessment, psychopharmacology, and therapeutic insight to support you in achieving resilience, stability, and overall wellness. I believe healing is a collaborative process, and I am honored to partner with you on your journey toward better mental health.

Yesterday, members of A Safe Place had the opportunity to visit Sunrise Collaborative for a meet-and-greet. We exchanged information about the services each organization provides to the community, and Sunrise Collaborative outlined their insurance coverage and waitlist processes to help us better understand their procedures.
This was such a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow community organizations and strengthen our ability to refer and serve clients effectively.
Thank you so much for having us!
