*Updates*
Stephan "Rocky" had his monthly appointment Friday. It went well, hes still showing so much strength and squeaking by on 5% function. He has gotten very close to dialysis a few times but all his hard work changing his diet and taking it easy has kept him off of it so far.
We have had so many friends reach out wanting to donate and although didnt get approved I will forever say thank you for trying.

We are still looking for a kidney donor to save his life and I know we will find one. Please continue to share our posts.

Not giving up on finding my husband a donor.

Today is hard... 1 year ago today everything in our lives changed. When that phone call came in that he was in kidney failure it was a shock... Watching my husband go threw tests, biopsy, ultrasound, fistula surgery, appointments, and more tests... changes to our lifestyle it's been rough but also watching him get threw this so strong and positive has been pretty admiring.
Stephan "Rocky" is an amazing father to our 5 children. Despite feeling extremely tired and worn down he makes sure to spend time and connecting with each of them.
As you know we are still looking for a kidney donor to save his life. He worked so hard to get approved to be on the transplant list but it takes 5-8 years to receive one. However if we kind someone who is willing to donate theirs he would get it much sooner.

We are approaching the 1 year mark where Stephan "Rocky" got a phone call that changed all of our lives forever. Never could we have thought that routine bloodwork would come back with "stage 5 kidney failure".
Every 3 weeks my husband goes for blood work and visits with kidney specialist. We go over his bloodwork and twice now we were very close to him starting dialysis. This last visit we were sure this was it and somehow managed to buy some more time. But it's coming soon. And it's scary. All of this is scary.
We need a donor to save his life. The wait list for 0 blood is longer. He is looking at 5-7 years to get a transplant but we are hoping to find him a living donor to save his life sooner.
