I've been asked about the size difference between Noah's feet, his braces and his shoes. I realized I never actually compared his feet. Just the brace and the shoe. It's obvious the shoe is much bigger then his actual foot. All he needs is a red nose and a wig and he's clown school ready🤣 this shoe is a toddler 8. It's amazing he can actually walk in these things. The problem we constantly run into isn't the insoles of the shoe but the width around the ankle. No matter the brand. That's y we have to go up so many sizes. They say u adapt to ur needs, ur devices, ur environment and it's true. He needs these braces and he's adapted very well to it. But he can walk perfectly fine barefoot too. There has to be a better way to make adaptive shoes for AFO's.

We are home! 🏡 Noah is doing much better. Still giving albuterol treatments every 4 to 6 hours until tomorrow and then as needed after that. They are saying he has reactivate airway disease and are basically using that as a blanket term for mild asthma without asthma being the actual confirmed diagnosis. Basically he caught a cold and it threw him into an asthma attack.
Also, I think he's found THAT blanket that he's gonna be attached to and drag everywhere 🥹 he loves his paw patrol blanket and has it with him in every admission. ❤️

I didn't think I'd see these words on the monitor so soon 🥺 brings back memories. But this is obviously not a NICU and he's not a neonate. It looks promising that we'll be home tomorrow ❤️

Noah was allowed to be unplugged from everything to run around and play. He looked and acted almost completely normal. When he laid down for a nap the pulse ox was plugged back in to see how he was off oxygen. He was destatting at 85/86 and was not coming up. So oxygen was put back on and eventually had to be turned up to 3 liters for him to stay above 94. So we will be staying another night here.
Also his night nurse Melissa made him this cute hat too❤️

Children's, Noah, last week.
Sunday st Patrick's day Noah started throwing up at 2am. Once it was 3am and he had not stopped I shut his tube feed off, checked his temp, and blood sugar. We went through 3 clothing changes for Noah, 1 for me and 4 bedding changes that night. He continued to vomit with 2/3 hour break between each episode. At 1pm Monday we got to warren general. The er was packed that day but he was marked urgent bc of his history, hernia, g-tube, and presentation. Well tests and xrays later it was revealed he had a partial mid small bowel obstruction. And those can be very not good if not caught early and resolved. So we were sent by ambulance to Pittsburgh. Once there and they redid xrays, they said he was clear and fine. So they discharged him. At some point between warren xray and pitt xray the obstruction resolved itself. But they said he DID in fact have one. This was honestly the first time I had ever felt forced and rushed out of the er there. And nobody went over any discharge instructions or paperwork. We sat and waited 10 hours in the lobby there for a ride to come home. Noah took a 3hr nap on me and I spent absurd amount of money on a singular balloon 🎈 bc my babyboy was getting excited seeing other ppl with balloons 🥺❤️ and my ubereats driver decided to throw his half eaten sandwich crust in my chic fil a bag 🤮

Around 9pm I had to call 911 for Noah. He's having trouble breathing, wheezing, retractions, and fever are the main things. Covid, RSV and flu swabs all came back negative. Chest xrays came back clear. But he's very obviously having difficulties and is sick. So he was admitted for observation and treatment. He has been destatting into the 80's and was put on oxygen starting at 1 liter. Currently he's been bumped up to 4 liters and is still only holding 94% saturation. He is getting albuterol treatments every 6 hours. Those do help but he still struggles. Tylenol/Motrin around the clock. His fever when we got here was 100.7 and it has came down. He told me in the morning he wanted pasta so I made pasta for dinner but he wanted no part in eating. He didn't eat until after 11 but he loved his fruit snacks and freeze dried peaches. No low blood sugars. Not quite sure where he picked this up from or what it even is, but it's doing a number on him🥺😭 get better soon my baby❤️
