REDUCE CHEST
I offered this patient an alternative to a surgical reduction.
In this case, I used VASER liposuction to reduce the amount of fat above the glandular tissue in her chest. I did this through two small incisions (one at the top of the ni**le and the other at the fold under the breast). VASER will gently emulsify the fat and allow me to remove it with much less tissue trauma than traditional liposuction. I followed this with to contract the fibroseptal network beneath the skin. I do this mostly in the upper pole so that the end result will hopefully, not only be smaller, but also a little more lifted.
This is just at her two week follow up, so obviously she is still healing and contracting, but I think that the result already at this stage is pretty dramatic…(for a non-surgical option)…Before I get comments about symmetry. And speaking of symmetry, again this isn’t surgery, so I can try to even things out by doing more suction to one side, delivering more energy, etc, but the end-result with a procedure like this is going to be less predictable than if you had a surgical reduction and/or lift. But again, this is just an option for a girl that doesn’t want to go through that procedure, have a large scar, etc.
