December was full of special moments and accomplishments at SLG! 🎉 Our learners wrapped up the month with big smiles and plenty of excitement as they tried new activities and enjoyed time together. Here are some of the highlights:

⭐ Showing our creativity!
⭐ Enjoying a visit from Santa!
⭐ Playing with new toys!
⭐ Creating art with friends!
⭐ Making music during Jammin’ Jenn!
⭐ Practicing writing skills!

We loved celebrating these moments and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

International Day of Education highlights the importance of access to safe and inclusive learning for every child. 🫶 It’s a moment to recognize the educators, families, and communities who support learning in many different ways. It also recognizes the barriers some children still face and the continued work required to help them.

We’re so grateful for the SLG team members who show up every day focused on supporting our kiddos, and for the way that commitment extends beyond our own community.

Autism New Jersey is continuing its Law Enforcement Initiative and is seeking feedback from the autism community! 📝 This effort focuses on improving understanding, training, and communication between law enforcement and autistic individuals, families, and caregivers.

By taking the survey, participants can share real experiences that help inform future training experiences for law enforcement across New Jersey.

📣 Attention Latino families in NJ!

A student researcher at Felician University is conducting a study to better understand the experiences of Latino families in New Jersey who utilize ABA services for their children. By participating, families can contribute valuable insight that may help improve access and support for other Latino families in the community.

Participation includes a brief virtual interview, which can be completed in English or Spanish, and families will receive a $30 Amazon gift card as a thank-you for their time. All responses are anonymous, and participation is completely voluntary.
