Oakland Primary Care-Henry Ford Warren & Madison Heights Hospital Family Medicine Residency

Our Family Medicine residency program is a member of the Henry Ford Health System. This means that we place a large focus on our osteopathic training and patient care. It is our desire to develop and maintain an osteopathic learning environment that regularly leads the nation in both academic and clinical excellence, state and national leadership and patient care. Our faculty Dr. Misra and Dr. Smith recently participated in a teaching initiative sponsored by the ACOFP and IPCEA in Shenzhen, China.

They taught sessions on pediatric ENT issues, giving effective feedback to medical trainees, and also demonstrated OMT techniques for sinusitis and upper respiratory infections at local clinics.

And in between teaching… Dr. Smith attempted to teach table tennis. Let’s just say that lesson did not go quite as planned. 🏓🤣
