We would also like to celebrate a few more recent graduates today! Laura Nyblah, Carrie Baumann, and Kayla Berg graduated last weekend from the RN program at Northland Community and Technical College. Congratulations to Kayla, Carrie, and Laura!

Over the next few weeks, we will be taking time to highlight some of our amazing donors and volunteers who continuously go out of their way to support North Star Manor.

Our first feature is the Warren Lions. Not only do they volunteer their time, but they are also funding the purchase of a wheelchair swing for our residents, their families, and friends to enjoy (hopefully starting in the next few months!). The Warren Lions are always the first to volunteer and ask how they can help. Whether it's helping us host pancake feeds, grilling a delicious barbecue, or simply showing up to visit with our residents, the Warren Lions are a staple in our facility. We are so unbelievably thankful for everything they have done and continue to do.

Our gratitude for you is never-ending, and we are so proud to call you our friends!

We are still smiling after North Star Manor’s annual Mother’s Day Tea. It was a truly heart-warming afternoon filled with delicious food, wonderful conversation, and the beautiful musical talents of Audrey Bienek, which provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration.

We can’t think of a better way to honor all the amazing mothers and mother figures in our lives! A massive thank you goes out to everyone who helped organize this event, with an extra special shoutout to Emily Hebert for her incredible eye for detail. Emily’s decorating skills and her stunning, handmade floral displays truly transformed the space into something magical.

We need your help!

Our outdoor patio renovation is officially underway, but we’ve encountered a significant hurdle: our final project quotes have come in much higher than anticipated, meaning our current funds won't be enough to cross the finish line. While we look forward to a beautiful new area, this project is far more than a cosmetic upgrade; it is a structural necessity driven by urgent drainage and safety concerns. By replacing the existing concrete, we are addressing critical foundational issues to ensure the ground is level and accessible for residents of all mobility levels. This space is a vital hub for our residents—providing a safe place for gardening, Men’s Group activities, and precious time outdoors with visiting friends and family. We also want to extend a special thank you to the Warren Lions for their generous donation of a wheelchair swing; we can’t wait to see it in use once the ground is safe and ready. Please consider donating to help us complete this essential work and restore a safe, welcoming outdoor space for our residents.
