Dr. Michael Osit
Dr. Osit has been working with children, families, adults, and couples for over 35 years. He is a dynamic and frequent local and national presenter on a wide variety of topics. Dr. Osit has participated in training psychologists and physicians through teaching and clinical supervision. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Osit is the author of "Generation Text: Raising Well-Adjusted Kids in an Age of Instant Everything" (Amacom, 2008), awarded "Best Book of the Year" by Instructor Magazine. His latest book is entitled, "The Train Keeps Leaving Without Me: A Practical Guide to Happiness, Freedom, and Self-Fulfillment" (CreateSpace, 2016). He also authors a column entitled "Mind the Mind" appearing in Warren Connections 2. Dr. Osit has a strong media presence, appearing on numerous national and local television and radio programs, and is frequently interviewed for national magazines such as Parent, Parenting, Women's Day, Better Homes & Gardens, Self, and Parade, to name a few.
Dr. Richard Charwin
Dr. Charwin, with over 30 years of experience, adds a unique therapeutic orientation to WPA. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, his pragmatic approaches have been extremely beneficial to the children and adolescents he treats. In addition to private practice, Dr. Charwin has extensive experience working in school based settings, and supervising other counselors.
Nicole L. Liebman, LPC
Nicole Liebman specializes in clinical work with children, adolescents, families, and adults. She holds dual graduate degrees in counseling psychology and education from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. Nicole has expertise in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression in a wide breadth of clinical environments. She conducts therapy and consultation for WPA and serves children and teens with social skills deficits, mood disorders, developmental disabilities, and disorders of cognitive functioning. She has presented professionally on ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders in children and adolescents, and has used her clinical acumen to help teachers develop and implement social skills programs in schools and integrate the training into their respective curricula.
Nicole was also named one of New Jersey's Top Psychotherapists by NJ Family Magazine for 2016 & 2017.
Dr. Matthew Liebman
Dr. Liebman is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the care of children, adolescents, adults, and families. He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University after completing an APA accredited internship with Montefiore Medical Center's Child & Adolescent Specialty in Bronx, NY. Clinically, Dr. Liebman has expertise in the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and has extensive training in psychodynamic, marital, and family therapies. He has additional expertise in treatment for those struggling with chronic and acute medical illness and chronic pain, and has advanced training in psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessment through his prior work as a psychologist for the Children's Cancer Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ.
Megan E. Cook, LAC
Megan Cook is a Licensed Associate Counselor working with children, adolescents, families, couples and adults. She is also a NJ State Certified Student Assistance Counselor. In addition to her clinical work at WPA, Megan has vast experience working with adolescents and families in school based settings. She developed and implemented a Student Assistance Program through a pro-active, student centered approach. The program addressed prevention and intervention to reduce risk factors and promote mental health of students. Her program received high recognition and in 2006 was awarded the National Award for Program of Excellence. Megan’s clinical experiences also include an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Center where she worked with adolescents and families dealing with substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Megan’s research interest has focused on mother’s attitudes about their daughter’s adolescent experience, and she has presented on the topic at national conferences. Megan brings an enthusiasm for Positive Psychology which transcends into her therapeutic relationships with the youngsters, parents, and adults with whom she works.
