There will be a dedication ceremony of 2 (identical) interpretive signs at the Warren Community Center on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. The signs commemorate the history of this property that was home to Murthum School, Warren High School, and now the Warren Community Center. The ceremony itself will be near the sign at the main entrance on the south side of the building. Past Warren H.S. students, some in their 90s, will be in attendance.

William E. Murthum Elementary School – Built 1926, closed in 1978 - partially demolished in 1987, and then totally demolished in 1992.

In 1931, an addition was built on the Murthum building which housed the high school. Due to the increasing enrollment, a cinder block building was constructed in 1944 paid for with World War II bonds and was named the "Victory Wing." Warren High School was housed in the Victory Building from 1944-1950. Once again, the enrollment grew and a new high school building was constructed on land next to Murthum. Murthum was then K-7 and Warren High was 8-12.

Warren High School - closed in 1992 - currently Warren Community Center, owned by the City of Warren
