Today, C+M Flower Company is here at the hospital with their Bloom Bar, giving staff and visitors a chance to slow down and create something beautiful. 🌸

From custom-built bouquets to pre-made hand-tied arrangements and small vases, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.

They’re still here, so there’s plenty of time to stop by, pick your favorite blooms, and take a creative break. 💙

Congratulations to the recipients of the WMMC Auxiliary’s 2026 Health Career Scholarships!🎓

This year, six outstanding local students were awarded $1,000 scholarships as they continue pursuing careers in healthcare and preparing to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you to the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce for hosting a great WIN Luncheon! 🤗

During the last WIN Luncheon, Dr. Magdy Giurgius, MD, FACS, MSc, DABOM, represented WMMC as a panel speaker in an engaging discussion on Dynamic Wellness and Personal Self-Care. The conversation focused on practical ways to support overall well-being while balancing the demands of work and life.

Dr. Giurgius also shared important insights on women’s health, including breast and colorectal cancer awareness and prevention, along with a brief overview of bariatric surgery as part of a comprehensive approach to long-term health and wellness.

We appreciate the opportunity to take part in conversations that support education, prevention, and community health.

Happy May Day 🌸 A day rooted in tradition that celebrates kindness, community, and the arrival of spring—often shared through small treats or “May baskets” meant to brighten someone’s day.

Today, our WMMC Auxiliary continued that tradition by delivering treat baskets across the hospital to our clinics and departments, sharing appreciation with our team 💙

We’re so grateful for our Auxiliary board members and volunteers for all they do to support WMMC.

Today, our team is wearing purple to help raise awareness about stroke and the importance of recognizing the signs quickly.

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked or when there is bleeding in the brain. It is a medical emergency—getting help immediately can save a life and reduce long-term effects.

Remember B.E. F.A.S.T.:
B – Balance: Sudden dizziness or trouble walking
E – Eyes: Sudden vision problems in one or both eyes
F – Face: One side of the face droops or looks uneven
A – Arms: One arm feels weak or drifts down
S – Speech: Speech is slurred or hard to understand
T – Time: Call 911 immediately

If you notice any of these signs, don’t wait—call for help right away. Acting fast can make all the difference.

A lovely afternoon celebrating our amazing volunteers.☕

Our Volunteer Appreciation Tea brought a special touch to WMMC as we came together to thank the volunteers who share their time, kindness, and care with our patients, visitors, and staff. From welcoming guests to helping throughout the hospital, they make a difference every day.

During the tea, we also celebrated the impact of our volunteers, who gave an incredible 13,139 hours of service in 2025.

To all of our volunteers: thank you for all you do. We are so grateful for you. 💙
