The Avenue offers a hotel-like environment with all private suites which include a private bathroom, flat screen television, telephone and refrigerator. Our staff have consistent staffing assignments which leads to nurses and nursing assistants getting to know their resident far better than in facilities in which staff move around more often. The Avenue employs Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Licensed Practical Nurses with significant experience in Caring for Individuals with Complex Needs in a Respectful and Compassionate Manner. Our Nursing Team works under the direction of the Attending Physician to provide services including Complex Wound Treatment, IV Therapy, Pain Management, Surgical Wound Management and Coordination with Therapy for Orthopeadic and Rehabilitation Care. Under the guidance of your physician or our Medical Director, Avenue Cares' Nursing Professionals provide each Resident with Specialized Care and Respect. Services available include:

Therapy: The Avenue provides rehabilitative care for a wide range of diagnosis and needs. The Avenue's therapy team is a dynamic and caring group of Licensed therapists trained in the latest rehabilitative techniques. Our therapists serve our patients in a bright and spacious "Gym" which offers many leading edge treatment modalities and equipment not commonly found in all rehab facilities including diathermy and e-stim, a car module for transfer training and regaining skills as well as complete training kitchens and laundry facilities. Whether you're improving general mobility or regaining strength after orthopedic or other surgery the therapy team works with other disciplines and the individual to achieve each resident's optimum level of wellness and, wherever possible, a safe return to their home and previous life-style. Activities: Here at The Avenue, we have a dedicated team of activity members that conduct activities for the residents many times throughout every day. Activities are scheduled based on what the residents want to partake in. Activities frequently features plenty of music, games, crafts, performers, and religious groups to meet the needs and wants of the residents. During the summer we have many activities outside on the activity patio, where residents are able to enjoy the outdoors. Dietary Services: The Avenue Dining Services fall under the direction of our Executive Chef. Our Executive Chef designs our menus with our Dietitian to provide nutritious and appealing meals. The Avenue offers restaurant-style dining in a beautiful main dining room. In the Main Dining Room residents can choose among two specials for each meal or the regular entree options. Residents can choose when they eat their meals as well as in which dining room to enjoy them in. The Avenue also offers "Chips", a 50's era snack bar featuring daily specials, burgers, ice cream sundaes and other options. Additional Services: The Avenue offers additional in-house services to our residents. We offer a number of specialists who regularly visit the facility including Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dentist, Podiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Prosthetic, Psychiatry group, Optometrist and Psychologist. In addition we offer beauty and barber services and ‘His and Hers’ our beauty shop, housekeeping services and laundry services.
