Our team truly showed their strength during the winter storm this past weekend. Here are just a few of the MANY faces who put aside their personal lives, stepped up without hesitation, and ensured our residents had everything they needed while safely sheltered in. We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible team we’re building here at PVCC! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do!

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Retired Staff Sergeant George Jones, a combat medic who served our country during three tours in Vietnam. He shared powerful stories from his service, giving us a glimpse into the courage and sacrifice of our veterans.

This event marked the second edition of Combat Coffee Club— a monthly gathering at our center that brings veterans together to share experiences, connect, and build community. We are grateful for the opportunity to hear his story and spend time in fellowship with veterans from PVCC and beyond.

Sincere thanks are extended to everyone involved in making this possible. The achievement is truly noteworthy. Enjoy the...

Today, we were deeply honored to receive the flag originally hoisted during the commissioning of the United States Navy guided missile frigate, USS Lewis B. Puller, on April 17, 1982. This distinguished vessel was the first in the U.S. Navy to bear the name of United States Marine Corps Lieutenant General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller.

This remarkable piece was generously donated to Puller Veterans Care Center by retired Naval Captain James Poplar and his wife, Joanne, on behalf of the Veterans Service Foundation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Foundation, under the leadership of Chairman Joel Griffin, for its instrumental role in facilitating this donation and for its ongoing commitment to supporting veterans.

We are proud to display this historic flag as a symbol of service, sacrifice, and honor. Its presence at our center ensures that the legacy it represents will be preserved and celebrated for generations to come, as we continue our mission of serving those who served.
